Two Tottenham Hotspur defenders won’t be available for their league game with Manchester United on Sunday evening. The North Londoners have had their own fair share of injuries but manager Jose Mourinho is gradually closing in on being able to call on all his players at the same time.

The Spurs fullback duo of Ben Davies and Matt Doherty are the only injured players in Mourinho’s team ahead of the Manchester United game at home in the Premier League later this weekend. Welsh international Davies is struggling with a calf injury, while Republic of Ireland player Doherty will sit out the United game due to a muscle injury.
Mourinho has claimed that this does not bode well for a team like Tottenham, who have to play a lot of games over the course of the campaign. The club has already have multiple games postponed because of Covid and any more disruptions will make it difficult for his team going into the summer.
Ahead of the Carabao Cup last four tie with Championship outfit Brentford at their new stadium, Tottenham Hotspur will be without the services of three players through suspension and injuries. Tottenham Hotspur right-back Matt Doherty was sent off at the weekend during the final minutes of the Premier League home clash with Leeds United for two yellow cards and he would be suspended for the Brentford game, while the duo of Gareth Bale and Giovanni Lo Celso will sit out the Brentford match because of respective injuries.
