SPURS DUO TO MISS HAMMERS GAME

Tottenham Hotspur will be without the defensive duo of Ryan Sessegnon andMatt Doherty for the London Derby clash with home team West Ham United in the Premier League. The match between Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United is one of the biggest on the football calendar for the two teams and the first of their two league meetings for this season will take place at the London Stadium later this weekend.

Spurs boss NunoEspirito Santo gave an update on the status of both Sessegnon and Doherty earlier this week. He informed reporters that England junior international Sessegnon won’t be available for a while and that Irish defender Doherty picked up an injury while he was with his country in the last international window and that he’s optimistic that the player will return to the Tottenham Hotspur squad next week. Nuno is no stranger to Doherty having coached him during his time as the Wolves manager. Doherty left Wolves to join Tottenham Hotspur in a £15m deal last summer before Nuno joined him in North London this summer on the back of his appointment as the Spurs boss.

Tottenham Hotspur attacking duo Lucas Moura and Steven Bergwijn have been ruled out of the Carabao Cup third round tie with Wolves. They were both ruled out by Spurs manager NunoEspirito Santo ahead of the trip to face his former club at the Molineux on Wednesday. In his pre-match press conference on Tuesday, Tottenham Hotspur manager Nuno told reporters that both Bergwijn and Moura won’t be available for Wolves game.

Wolves and North London outfitTottenham Hotspur have already met each other this season in the Premier League. In the end, England international midfielder Dele Alli scored the only goal of the game from the spot as Spurs ran out 1-0 winners. The goal from Dele Alli came after Tottenham Hotspur were awarded an early penalty for a foul made on the midfielder by Wolves shot stopper Jose Sa.

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that they have completed the signing of Pape Matar Sarr from French Lyon outfit Football Club Metz this summer. The north London club had long been looking for more additions to their current squad and began to negotiate with Metz over the signing of Sarr for the past couple of days and they have now struck an agreement to sign the player finally.

Tottenham manager Nuno Espirito Santo is a huge fan of the French star and was the one who specifically told the club’s owner Daniel Levy to ensure that everything necessary was done to sign the player and his wish has now been granted as he is now officially a Spurs player.

WILL ATALANTA DUO SUCCEED AT SPURS THIS SEASON?

English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur may have handled most of their summer business behind the scenes, but they are reportedly expected to have a solid campaign this season.

Spurs had a rather unwanted season last campaign under their former manager José Mourinho and the terrible performances they had on the pitch, coupled with the fact that they were not able to record positive results, led to club owner Daniel Levy being fed up with the Portuguese manager and he eventually decided to part ways with the former Chelsea boss right even before the season came to an end.

PALACE MOVE AHEAD OF SPURS IN RACE FOR DEFENDER

According to reports from The Telegraph, Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly fallen behind in the race to sign defender Joachim Andersen. The reports crept up to the surface of the news headlines of Friday morning and it is now looking like Palace have the upper hand to sign the defender from French Ligue 1 side Olympique Lyon this summer. The Denmark international star has been a prime defensive target for a couple of clubs this summer following his impressive performances for his country at the Euros earlier in the summer.

Spurs were the first side to have been reported as the major candidates to land the player’s signature but it appears like their interest has cooled off in recent days, especially as they continue to progress in talks to sign Argentina international defender Cristian Romero from Atalanta. Takehiro Tomiyasu is another player on Spurs’ list of defensive targets and they have reportedly approached Italian Serie A outfit, Bologna, over a possible move in the next few days.

SPURS INTERESTED IN SIGNING ROMA STAR PELLEGRINI

Tottenham Hotspur have been quite silent in this summer’s transfer window so far and have not completed any major signing since it was opened for business activities some weeks ago. The only transfer updates that have involved the London club are the ones linking their star striker Harry Kane away from the Tottenham Hotspur stadium. However, it looks like they are ready to start engaging in transfer activities, with reports claiming that they are showing an interest in signing Lorenzo Pellegrini from Italian Serie A giants AS Roma in the coming days of the summer transfer window.

The 25-year-old Italy international star started generating transfer interest before the end of last season, but he did not shine as well as he did during Italy’s campaign at the just-concluded Euros 2020 tournament. Pellegrini played a huge role in helping the Azzuri to clinch the title as they beat the Three Lions of England in the final of the competition last Sunday. The match lasted for 120 minutes after Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci forced extra time following an equalizing goal, he scored from close range to make the score 1-1.

NUNO TO TRY AND BLOCK KANE’S TOTTENHAM EXIT

With Tottenham finally getting their hands on a manager after several weeks of discussions with all of their managerial options, the next target will be to ensure that the new manager takes up the responsibility of working on transfers at the club. Nuno Espirito Santos, former Wolverhampton Wanderers manager, was announced on Wednesday this week as the man that will be taking over at the helm of managerial operations at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium, and even though he is yet to officially resume his duties, he already has a lot of work on his table.

While working with the club on the possible signings of new players at the club is equally important, one of the major tasks Nuno will be fazed with at Tottenham is how he can convince star striker Harry Kane to not seal his desired move away from the club and instead stay for at least one more season.

FORMER TOTTENHAM STAR KEEN TO JOIN MANCHESTER UNITED

According to reports from the Daily Independent, Manchester United are strongly interested in bringing back Kieran Trippier to the English Premier League this summer. It is also believed that the former Tottenham Hotspur man is keen to seal the move as he sees it as a dream transfer, but he would have to wait until United and Spanish La Liga side Atletico Madrid can agree on a transfer fee before a move can be completed.

Trippier left Tottenham some months ago and joined Atletico Madrid on an initial loan deal but agreed to make the move a permanent one after enjoying a brilliant first campaign at the Spanish club. He is now seen as a key member of the Rojiblancos squad and played an important role in helping the Madrid club to win their first league title since 2014 last season.

GREALISH ON CITY RADAR

Aston Villa skipper Jack Grealish is reportedly on the list of transfer targets at Premier League champions Manchester City ahead of this summer’s window. This is according to the publication from the Daily Telegraph.

Grealish was once a major Tottenham Hotspur target and they came close to signing several years ago before the deal fell apart. Tottenham Hotspur were not able to meet up with the price tag and the player stayed at the club in the

SPURS RESIGNED TO LOSING KANE THIS SUMMER

According to several reports from multiple sources, English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur could be playing next season without star striker Harry Kane at the club. The England international striker is expected to be one of the hottest properties available on the transfer market in the summer transfer window and it is looking like even Spurs won’t be able to stop him from leaving.

There has been a lot of debate about the striker leaving the club in search of another team to join where he can win trophies, and all fingers have been pointing to Manchester United as his most perfect destination. While the Red Devils’ rivals City have also been linked to making a move for him, United seem to have the upper hand and closer to a move for him than the Etihad outfit.
