Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that they have completed the signing of Pape Matar Sarr from French Lyon outfit Football Club Metz this summer. The north London club had long been looking for more additions to their current squad and began to negotiate with Metz over the signing of Sarr for the past couple of days and they have now struck an agreement to sign the player finally.

Tottenham manager Nuno Espirito Santo is a huge fan of the French star and was the one who specifically told the club’s owner Daniel Levy to ensure that everything necessary was done to sign the player and his wish has now been granted as he is now officially a Spurs player.

Tottenham midfielder and the club’s record signing Tanguy Ndombele has continued to have issues with the club and he has also continued to loon for a new club that he will sign for this summer. He is yet to hand in a transfer request but sources are speculating that it is only a matter of time before he does that. Sarr is expected to come into the team as a direct replacement for Ndombele as the French star continues to look for a new club before possibly officially telling Spurs that he wants to leave the club.

Moussa Sissokho has also left Tottenham and joined Watford on a permanent deal this summer. The French defensive midfielder completed his move away from Tottenham on a permanent basis and seals his move to Vicarage Road, putting an end to his spell at Spurs after a number of years at the club.

He was frozen out of the team by Nuno Espirito and has hardly found game time hard to come by even before the Portuguese manager arrived at the club, meaning that he was no longer needed at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and had to look for a new club.
