Seems I'm outvoted.
I like league cos' I grew up in Campbelltown, NSW, with the Wests Tigers (formerly Western Suburbs). I like the faster pace, I feel a bit more skill comes into play (Benji Maaaaaaarshall!).
Union gets on my nerves sometimes with the amount of penalties and crap.
Agree 'bout the violence though, makes it a bit more interesting. heck, violence is the only reason I'll watch games that don't involve Australia.
Want to nominate the most violent team? I'd vote South Africa, every time I flick on a match with them they're bashing some bloke at the scrum.

I'll go union but league's not too bad, just never really get a chance to watch it.
Played union in school and watch 6 nations and the world cup etc...

Which is the one that isnt that popular and is quicker where when you get dumped on the floor like a sack of sh*t you just get up roll it under your foot and then get smashed onto your arse again.

I tried rugby once..........Its for men who cant play football and have serious identity issues.
They drink oneanothers p*ss and sick. I have seen this with my own eyes.
Its just wrong.
I like league best (of the two) but not particularly bothered.
My Aussie mate (preferred Aussie Rules) called Rugby "sniff bum, then run"
Used to play Union years ago and enjoyed every minute. Even the split lips and black eyes. But the most important bit was the club house sessions after games.

League is miles better its the speed and the skill, Union is ok for power but I cant really see the point in a buch of grown men wrestling on the floor for the ball then after all that they just get the ball and leather it down the field.

In general, I find;
Union is better to play.
League is better to watch.
And Football is better than Rugby.
Has to be League for me, really don't see the appeal of union? Only thing i'd say union has over league is a better quality of goal kickers. League is more skillful for me, better speed and bigger collisions. If you watch the NRL (Aussie league) there standard is miles better than Super league. Although it would help if i supported a half decent team..
