Manchester United have retained their position as the world's richest football club ahead of Real Madrid and join nine other Premier League teams in the top 25.
The Red Devils' are considered to be worth €1.42 billion by Forbes, well ahead of los Merengues, who are reported to be worth a figure of €1.03b.
Arsenal are, somewhat surprisingly, in third position, while Barcelona are in seventh place, despite their overall wealth increasing by 22 per cent from last year's summary.
Madrid and the Blaugrana are the only two Spanish representatives on the list. There are also four Italian sides, five teams from the Bundesliga, two French sides and the Old Firm representing Scotland.
The show of strength from the Premier League is highlighted by Tottenham Hotspur's position of 11th, which places them above Inter, Roma and Olympique Lyonnais.
Spurs have only won two League Cups in the last ten seasons and never qualified for the Champions League.
Chelsea's value only sees them make it into eighth place while Manchester City are back in 17th with a value of just €236 million, less than both Hamburg and Borussia Dortmund.

Aren't Manchester City now the richest club in the world? Some of those standings seem farfetched, Barcelona i thought would've been higher and i didn't think Arsenal would be 3rd.

It does not go by how much money the club has or the owner. If that was the case QPR would be top. Its the revenue the club makes like sale off stock match tickets etc
That's heavily affected by the exchange rate too, as Sterling has been converted into Euros for the purpose of that article. At the current exchange rate 339 million euros is about £315 million. A couple of years ago that would have been about £450 million. So we'd be pushing Juventus for 9th spot.
It doesn't surprise me really. We've always been a rich club, just look at how much we spend on transfers. We have a massive fanbase, despite the years of underacheivement.
The fact that English clubs are so prominent doesn't surprise me either. Their matchday income alone must dwarf that of clubs on the continent. Almost every game in the Premier League is sold out every week. I can't think of a single club in Italy/Spain that is sold out more than a handful of times a year. The average attendance in Italy is probably about 15-20 thousand. Inter couldn't even sell out during their final game of the season last year, a game that they needed to win in order to win the league i.e. the most crucial game of the year. The most popular team in Italy (Milan) can only just about half fill the San Siro. Man United could probably fill a stadium of 250,000 people every week if it were possible. Although I'm not sure Ryanair and the M1 could take the strain.
Then of course there's the ticket prices. We get ripped off hugely. They pay a fraction of that. The tickets for that Inter game I mentioned started at 6 euros. Barcelona's tickets start at 6-8 euros I believe.

dont no how arsenal are there !
there in so much debt
Spot on Skoot.
If you took away their loans and overall debts that list would be very very different.
All the top 4 are swimming in debt and I personally dont think its right.
I hope this credit crunch bites em all on the ass and they have to cash in on their pitch side assets.
