now official, posted on tottenhamhotspur.com keane to liverpool 20.3 million. levy once again saying sale was forced on the club by liverpool tapping the player up and keane asking for transfer. liverpool fc have also agreed to pay a sum of money to the official tottenham charity as compensation for their unproffesional behaviour leading up to this transfer. tottenham have agreed to drop the complaint to the premier league against liverpool. i am sorry to see him leave and as already discussed on these forums i think he will be very difficult to replace.

      Old news mate, Keane who????????

Love the comments from Levy though, the guy really does have Tottenham at heart "A FORCED SELL" says it all to me, we would never have sold Robbie we didnt need to, he wanted the move as he handed in a transfer request weeks ago.

      Still p1ssed of big time.

The way keane has left us has made me really bitter about it all, handing in a transfer request, signing liverpool kids shirts before anything has been announced and declaring his love for the club then leaving 6 months later. Thanks for all that keane you judas piece of sh*t

Heya first post, just basically gutted about Keane. I honestly thought he loved spurs and it so disappointing for him to leave now as I thought we were in the right direction and just about getting in a position to challenge the top 4 and he leaves. I think its going to be difficult getting an adequate replacement I would love anyone like David Villa then id wave Keane goodbye but relasiticly I dont know who we will get and so disappointed about Keane especially the way he has gone about it.

Im gutted but i have to admit that if Keane wanted to go we had little option. Also £19M plus £1.3M add ons is a good price. I just hope we have a good replacement at the ready

I would seriously expect some major moves in the transfer market this week now. As far as i'm concerned, Robbie Who?????? Been replaced with £19 Million upfront and so he is now just a number to me!!!! Let's get this Berbatov thing sorted once and for all now, by the end of the week if he ain't gone he's here till Xmas, that's what i would be telling him. Replacement? Not Arshavin for me, got to be either Villa or Huntelaar to apease the bitter taste in my mouth left by the crocodile tears shed by Keane at Wembley in February....
Life's too important to be taken seriously!!!

I dont agree. He spent most of his time running away from his strike partner. He spent most of his time kissing the butt of lennon and malbranque on the wings. He may have got 20 goals a season but bearing in mind he was the only striker who played every week, I am not suprised. Santa cruz got lots of goals with rubbish supply and Defoe left spurs and banged in about 10 goals in as many games. Santa cruz would be a great replacement and no comment is required is spurs managed to make the buy of the century and get Villa...to be fair I do not understand why he would want to come as he is possibly 1 of best 5 strikers in the world and could play champions league week.

another point worth making is he is foolish...he was the first player on team sheet, he was a hero, he was captain as king is never fit and now he is going to become the new Kuyt at Liverpool. Good luck, he isnt going to play...great £20m deal in my view. Knowing spurs they will go and blow £18m on Bentley, who is worth no where near that amount and furthermore, why do we need another midfielder? I think a great acquisition would be some one like Eto, who was deemed best striker in the world two years ago...£10m would probably be enough to get him.

We'd need to give more than 10mil for Eto I think. Barca is looking for alot more than that.

I dont think Eto would be a step in the right direction. Hes getting on a bit now yeah he was one of the best 2 years ago but is that the case now. we need someone we can keep for a while and we no aint gonna do a runner eveytime he bangs in 2o- 25 goals a season when the madrids come calling. I think Huntaleer wpuld be good but i think hes loyal to Ajax as im sure Utd have tryed acquring his services before. What does everyone think of Eidur Gudjohnson ? For some reason i just have this feeling that Ramos is gonna try get Freddy Kanoute from Seville. I guess we just have to trust his judgement what ever happens. KEANE 19 MILL = ANYDAY THE TOSSER

i am just glad hes gone it really is a breath of fresh air to have someone gone who does not want to be there ......

now we just need rid of berbatov and get this sorted once and for all.
