those three seem to be the forum favourites? dunno. we were linked with samuel inkoom today, but the only thing that has happened so far is that brad friedel has signed a 2 year contract.
if llorente or anyone of that ilk arrive at the lane, it wouldn't surprise me if defoe decides to move on. it's a tough call for redknapp because the effects of buying a big time player are massive. they either slot right in - rafael, or they skid right off the surface. not to mention the effect on the squad in general - defoe in particular.
After our miserable goal return last season, Arry needs to seize the moment and bring in new striking talent. It could be a risk, yeah. But the bigger risk is keeping things as they are and having another low scoring season. I would say we have failed to make proper bids for proper players on a couple of occasions, for example with Suarez. And hey - it's easy for me to chuck Levy's money around. But if we don't bring in a Llorente or someone of that ilk I predict more disappointment.
It is annoying too because Liverpool, Citeh, the chavs and manure will all be splashing the cash. Oh well, with any luck the pending mass exodus from that soulless bowl stadium down the road will put a smile on our faces.
