I think Wednesday will be is a show of strength to show the powers that be in this country that the supporters are starting to question one or two of their decisions, and where all the TV money is going.

THST is also supporting the Football Supporters’ Federation’s ‘Twenty’s Plenty’ campaign – a petition which is calling on all clubs to impose a £20 cap on away tickets.

Date of the march (sorry I didnt see this earlier) is TOMORROW..... the 19th of June
to coincide with the release of the fixtures.

The Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Trust will be involved in a “show of strength” on Wednesday as fans from rivals clubs march together on the Premier League’s headquarters in a protest over the spiralling cost of attending football.
Supporters from across the country will gather in Regent’s Park at 1pm before marching to Gloucester Place in an event that has been organised by ‘Football without Fans is Nothing’, backed by the Football Supporters’ Federation and Supporters Direct.
THST has recently been relaunched, with membership opening on July 1, and joint chairman Darren Alexander hopes Spurs fans will get involved in the march.
“The crux of the matter is that supporters from clubs up and down the league are coming together now for the first time since 1989, when people united to fight Margaret Thatcher’s identity card scheme,” he said.
“Supporters from Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Everton, Arsenal and Spurs are coming together to work for the best interests of all of their fans. We aren’t being territorial, there’s great strength in numbers.
“I know the Spirit of Shankly, who we’re working very closely with, are bringing coach-loads of people down from Liverpool. I’ll be there with members of my board and we’ll be encouraging Spurs fans to be there if they can.
“If I have any say in it, and I think I will, it will be extremely peaceful, good-natured and totally non-confrontational - and I’m hoping for a real mix of ages.
“I’m not expecting someone to stick their head out the door and say ‘yes, you’ve shown up today and we’re going to do what the Supporters’ Federation want’. No-one’s expecting that.
“But I think Wednesday will be is a show of strength to show the powers that be in this country that the supporters are starting to question one or two of their decisions, and where all the TV money is going.
“We have all gone to our individual clubs. You can bang your head or your fist on the table over prices, but there’s much more of a chance if you’re part of a united front.”

“It’s all part of a call for cheaper ticket prices and conditions for fans,” said Alexander. “We all believe it is generally the away supporters, or the proximity to the away supporters, that creates an atmosphere at football games - and we believe that is what sells the Premier League, that there is always a great atmosphere at games.
“I don’t think we’re asking for too much. I don’t expect chairmen of football clubs to appreciate this, but the people who create atmosphere in football grounds are undoubtedly being priced out, which is why the atmosphere in grounds like White Hart Lane has deteriorated.
“Ticket prices have increased astronomically since 2008, when the recession kicked in. From our point of view at THST, we feel we have to make a stand now for the sake of future generations of the club.
“Traditionally, football was the game of the working classes. We don’t believe that is the case now, and it should still be. Everyone should have the means to go and watch a football game.”

So I'm just saying, if we could somehow get some sort of thing viral? I know us Spurs fans get very passionate about the club, and always get disappointed when a transfer falls short by a few million. I also know that we want Bale to stay very badly, without it ruining our chances of landing some big transfers? SO maybe we could propose a
'bale please stay at spurs' kickstarter, which will really show him how much we all love him and how badly we want him to stay. I have no doubt that with the proper backing from our fan base, the media will soon pick up on it, and it will get even bigger.
Or a 'levy rainy day fund' kickstarter just incase someone like bernard (just an example) comes down to that extra 2-3m haggle? or perhaps it could provide a lower ticket price and add some relief to the fans who want to get over to WHL and cheer on the boys but cant necessarily afford to under current ticket prices.
I love the direction the club is going, but it cant be denied were a little tight on funds because of all the building for the future were doing, while those funds are desperately needed to secure a ST or 2?

Anyway, I did the math, and kickstarter is a 'pay what you want, no limits' kind of deal
so no doubt everyone could chip in SOMETHING. Personally, I'd pay a few hundred just to be able to have a happy transfer window that brought in players and kept AVB/Bale, I dont know about you guys.
ANything from $1 from every fan, or $5 maybe? But I think we should really think about this as an actual option to show our support to pretty much everyone at the club
all it would do is benefit us, the fans, in the end

But, I have just done some riffmatic and can not find a single Premiership HOME game where we were 2-0 up at half time that we have not won. The away stats are fcuking awful! We were 2-0 up at half time in 33 of our all-time Premiership games and only won 19 (57.58%) of them.
