Kane has enjoyed contrasting form for club and country in recent weeks on the back of his failed move to Premier League champions Manchester City in the summer. The Spurs striker publicly revealed his intention to leave the North London club for the Etihad Stadium due to a gentleman’s agreement with chairman Daniel Levy only for the move to be blocked by Levy and his board members who asked for over £150m for Manchester City to secure his transfer. In the end, Kane could not get his dream move to Spurs and his club form has suffered for it. In stark contrast, he scored seven goals in just two England games during the World Cup 2022 qualifiers last month.

Tottenham Hotspur star player Kane has scored just one goal in 13 league games for Spurs this season with the goal coming during the 3-2 away win over Newcastle United in October. Since then, he has gone six league games without finding the back of the net.

Kane came into the Brentford game earlier this week on the back of a run of five games without defeat and the run was extended to six games after he was not on the scoresheet. Spurs got their goals through SergiCanos (own goal) and South Korea national team player Son Heung-Min on the way to a 2-0 home win over Brentford.

Despite the poor form of Kane in front of goal, Tottenham Hotspur have been able to move up to sixth place on the league standings after the straightforward win over the Bees.
