see ya later Pav. sorry it didn't work out.

maybe next year you, too, can return to the lane with a point to prove and Gomes can own your a$$ from the penalty spot.

He's clearly not what 'arry wants so it would be in everyone's interest for him to move on. The question must be who comes in to replace him .... we will have three experienced front men so perhaps we could take a chance on a youngster? A bit more pace up front certainly wouldn't hurt, at the moment we rely on Lennon and Defoe for speed and look what happens when they don't play ........ How about Torres now Liverfool are on the way down ..... hahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Well, it'll be interesting to see how gio does when he recovers. has had some bad luck with injuries, but it'll be good to see how he deals with top flight opposition after his attitude makeover.

luminoir makes a good point, would be nice to see Gio getting a run, he's not a prolific goal scorer and is more AM than striker, still he needs a run to show what he can do.

I'd go for victor Moses as i get the impresion Harry don't fancy gds much because his attitude. I fear he is a bit of a big time Charlie character who don't put in the work needed.

Iv watched victor moses rip defences apart like Walcott when he was in the championship and think we should give him a go.

If not we could always save ourselves a few quid and go for obika as think he could make the grade and would be happy to be 4th choice.

Regardless I think GDS should get run outs still, otherwise we'll never be able to sell him if we want to.

fook him then the mardy arsed russian mug.

Get him out the door for a hefty proffit no doubt Mr Levy, and give Gio a free rain.

Splash the cash on some help for willy or a CB that isnt fookin injured and we are half way there.

      Where ever there is?

      Agreed.
When we sell Pav, we really dont need to be spending the money on another striker when its been proven this season that having 4 strikers of that stature causes problems. When we have Gio, who used to play up-front at Barcelona before he came here (if I remember rightly), who can play as our 4th striker and can also cover on the wings too.
Get rid of Pav and spend the cash on central midfield, which really needs a make over.

I dunno, I'm generally of the opinion that 4 strikers, as 2 separate partnerships, is the ideal. That way you have 2 options of strikers that know each other inside & out. Problem with 3 is that you're always chopping & changing &nobody really gets to build an understanding.

Having said that, with Keane as captain meaning he is almost without question in the starting lineup, having 2 partnerships immediately goes out the window. If it were me, I would pick 2 strikers to work together & perfect their games together. Then, if 1 of the partnership gets injured, I would automatically use the other 2 strikers, rather than trying to mix them up.

As I said elsewhere, Man Utd won the treble with such a system & their performance in '99 is always on everyone's lips when they talk in favour of 4 strikers. However, you have to do it the way they did for it to work. Of course, it also helps when you are in Europe also!

If we are going to have 4 strikers then we HAVE to approach it in this way I reckon. Match JD with Crouch & find someone who can play next to Robbie or, as Harry appears to like using JD & Robbie together, find someone to work with Crouchy.

It is much easier to keep everyone happy with 2 partnerships on rotation. Even with 3 strikers you end up with 1 of them being left out more than the others & then the rotation system does not work as well as nobody is used to playing with each other.

That does make a lot of sense. Perhaps Giovani dos Santos can form a Parnership with Crouch. Something along the lines of Crouch playing right up there as a target man and Gio using his pace and bombing through from deeper.
