Personally, I think £10m on Suazo would be money better spent than the £22m on Pazzini - but that is just my opinion. I do base that opinion on having watched both perform & I do think Suazo is the better allround player. I have to say that I see why Harry likes the look of him & I also think that, altho it is a lot for a 28/29 year old, it isn't much more than what we paid for Crouch.
Again, I take your point about him being unproven, Crouch obviously has a number of years experience and therefore arguably justifies the pricetag a little more. However, despite his age, I do have a funny feeling that Suazo is going to have a superb WC & that could actually see his price shoot up a few mill. Everyone points to Crouch's international scoring record but he has got those goals, generally speaking, against small teams whereas Suazo is a man for the big occasion - he won Monterrey the 2009 Clausera final with his goals & he shot Chile into 2nd place in the South American WC qualifiers. He might be short on experience for a player of his age but the experience he does have he has excelled with.
I don't doubt for a second that he can play at Premiership level, you only have to watch him tying Brazil's defence in knots on his own to see that (something nobody in the English national team were able to do).
Also, I think that, in today's market, you will be very hard pushed to bring in a goal-scoring striker for considerably less than £10m, experienced or not. We just missed out on Seydou Doumbia, who is now on his way to CSKA at the end of the year with the long-term aim of replacing Drogba at Chelsea, & he would've cost us more & he, altho with age on his side, has FAR less experience than Suazo.
Personally, I think that whoever gets him will be getting a bargain at £10m - but that is only because I am fully confident that he will succeed in a top league. The question of risk might be too great to pay a penny more than that but this guy will score goals wherever he goes & if he gets the supply that we are capable of here at Tottenham, he will be lethal.
If I'm honest, I think he will actually leave for a little under £10m - more like £9m or something - & if Jose Mourinho & Inter Milan are chasing him, then there must be something about him (altho he was chasing Jenas not too long ago! Lol)

Berbatov was unproven.
This could be good and a RK replacement.
Back to the drawing board - Suazo signed for Zaragoza on a 6 month loan with an option to buy at the end of it.
