This is the best forum I've ever been to!
And I've been to many.
I can sign what Bass said.
YouTube - Real Madrid Vs Real Zaragoza 6-0 ' All Goals ' 19.12.2009
on the weight of this performance I don't see Madrid selling van der vaart to anyone anymore. 2 goals and a pin point pass to benzema for the 6th.
to think we were so close to signing him on the last day of the transfer window, only needed to agree on his wages before Madrid turned around and decided to keep him.
never going to get him for that price (12 mil) again if ever. Crying shame.
I like VDV. But just don't see where he would fit into our team.
Him playing well won't change much as far as madrid are concerned.
Tottenham Hotspur - A Life Long Labour of Love.
Watching German Bundesliga for about 22 years I remember well his "I'll stay with Hamburg, oh no, wait a minute, I will leave to Real" games. He did not behave like a sportsman should, when he left Hamburg. He was only interested in raising his money when he tricked Hamburg and Real for month playing the one unable to decide wheter to stay or to leave. So even if he is a class offensive midfield player I don't like him that much since then, I don't think that he will be allowed to set a foot to Hamburg in his lifetime again.....
VDV for a cheap signing would be awsome
madrid has a history of ruining awsome players like sneijder figo etc and unfortunatly he suffered
also remember this guy if you can get him to do so can play as a CF

I think we really need some creativity in the middle of the park.
Unless we play with Modric 'in the hole' behind the strikers, he's gonna be playing out on the left.
Palacios, in my mind, is a defensive midfielder. The problem is that Huddlestone and Jenas are gash, and he's doing their job of getting forward also. He's passing just isnt good enough for that kind of business, as we've seen this season.
I'd actually love to have Van der Vaart bombing forward and putting in those killer passes, along side Palacios, who could concentrate on what he's best at...winning the ball and breaking up play.
Although, it will be seen in the next few weeks when Modric comes back, weather Redknapp decides to put one of Modric and Kranjcar in the middle, with the other out on the left.
