Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has distanced himself from rumours linking him with a move for Real Madrid striker Ruud van Nistelrooy, admitting that the club would struggle to afford the Dutch striker's wages.
"It would break our wage structure by an awful long way,” said Redknapp.
"He's probably worth it, and is probably earning an awful lot more at Real Madrid. He's been a great player and could still be that for someone.”
With four international strikers on their books already, and even with the possible departure of Roman Pavlyuchenko, Redknapp seems unlikely to sign Van Nistelrooy.
Redknapp continued, "I think I'll end the season with these four, although that could change next week, you never know, but it's more than likely that's how we will go."
COME ON YOU SPURS!!!
Radio Five Live have just said that according to the website of SV Hamburg, Ruud van Nistelrooy has signed a contract with them.
ssn news saying the same. hes gone there

Oh well, let's turn our attentions to Huntelaar only if we sell Pav.
"Modric could play in any team in the world in my opinion, he's a fantastic footballer, top, top class."
Would rather sell Keane, keep Pav and get Huntelaar. Yeah RVN has gone to Hamburg on an 18 month contract.
