From what I've heard Gomes' knee has liquid that needs to get drained (not a doctor, but think that's right). That's why he is playing over Cudicini. Gomes is our number one and Cudicini is a decent number 2. We don't need no other goalkeeper and all these rumours are unfounded. Though I have publically expressed my admiration of Jame's abilities, I accept that his arrival to Spurs, may not happen.

Can't see it personally as Robbo wants to be No1 at whatever club he is at. But being at Blackburn is not doing Robbo's World Cup chances any good. He needs to move on to a bigger club, at least pushing for a top 6 finish.
If he returned to Spurs he would be our No 2 which would make his World Cup selection
But what a pairing with Gomes

Robbo's history. I liked him, but don't really want him back, since he's not better than Gomes or Cudicini IMO.
James at the Lane? No. Ffs, just no! Self-inflated-Berbatov with gloves, only without the consistency.
Kasper Schmeichel, sure, why not. But he changed like ten divisions down to get playing time, he'll not be content with splinters from another prem bench.
Cudicini is decent backup, Alnwick I have no clue about, only seen him in one game, in which he sucked. Gomes is a clear 1st choice IMO, even considering his blunders. I really don't think we need another keeper right now, only excuse would be to get a new no.1, and that probably won't happen until/unless Gomes moves on himself, 'cause he'll definately not stand for being second choice.

fook rob green we have the best shot stopper in the game ,i wont even entertain another keeper so if im prickily im not going to make excuses
