I would keep Kaboul! I would prefer Samba but he's probably going to go to Arsenal

I would definitely sign him though! £10 million is a good deal for Bolton! A ready made replacement who will be decent for them and a bit of cash to help with debts

Would be wonderful to announce this signing along with a big striker

I did say hopefully before I put Caulker!

I watched him alot at Yeovil year before last as a mate of mine goes to most games and I went along when Spurs weren't playing and he was a notch above every other player in the Yeovil team and opposition, I watched him on the TV quite a bit for Bristol City last year and apart from the Norwich game he was top quality in all the games I watched. He has everything you would want in a modern centre back and if he doesn't make it at Spurs I think it will be much more likely the clubs fault than his.

Back to my original comment I was trying to say there will be a "generation" of players who are now 24-28 who don't get as many games as they should for England because of the reliance on the "golden" generation. I think Cahill will be one of these, again I did say hopefully before I said Caulker but I personally think he's got everything including attitude to make it to the very top (whether he does or not is another matter, the same as Smalling and Jones a bad injury or personal issues can change everything after all no matter how skilled a player is)

the point i was trying to make was i think cahill will improve playing in a better team,on the caulker thing im just telling you what i heard, they say he will be good enough to play in the prem but maybe at a lesser side, but who knows as you say things change and the fact he will probily get a loan move to the prem can only help him as a player,in the same way playing in a better side will improve cahill in my opinon lol

Mate, I won't argue that Lescott was gotten at a good price, because he wasn't. Vastly overpriced.

But did you see Cahill against Stoke in the FA Cup? 5-0. Lescott performed better than him.

Unlucky that, because Bolton saved their worst game of the year for their biggest. Entire team was awful.

However, Cahill has been awesome for the rest of the year, worth money.

In defence of Lescott he has been a Titan for city since kolo's ban, nit worth 24m but better than Cahill.

In Bassong we have the perfect player to swap.We have a few of his NT teammates already and BAE who was born in France.
Remember when we were linked with Subotic and Hummels but then Dortmund went on a rampage and we lost our chance with those two? Well I believe Sakho is at the Hummels/Subotic level. He's also the Ball-Playing or King type that we could use next to Dawson. If PSG are willing to sell I say pounce. He's already one of the best CBs in Ligue 1 and could become one of the best in the world. And to add something BlueCrew didn't mention, LEADERSHIP! He captained the U21 team and PSG already!

take your blue tinted glasses off, cahill is 1 of the best around at min. I'm sure most cb can look good when you have 2 defensive midfielders in front of ya. Lescott is crap not even as good as bassong.

Funny that Lescott was part of the best defence in the league, also kept you guys quiet. Remind me how many clean sheets Spurs kept this season?

This isn't a pop, just find it funny that you think Lescott is crap when spurs couldnt keep a clean sheet to save their lives last season.

If we park the bus how come we scored more goals than you lot? Don't start this game, admit your logic is flawed.

So? Our striker problem is well-documented. Anyway, please don't turn this into a Man City shrine. We have no interest in that.

I don't like this argument. Really, only De Jong is the DM (Barry counting as half), Barry is sort of a Huddlestone-esc player from what I saw (though not as good ofc ) and Yaya gets forward so much it's amazing. I'd also kill to have Yaya in our team.

But really, City's defence is due to one world class CB, and it's not Lescott.
