I do agree on keeping Jenas around, he has mostly played well when he has gotten time and doesn't seem to be causing too much a fuss when he is sitting. I don't know how I feel about ditching Palacios if we do sign Parker. Sarge was a revelation not a season and a half ago but his recent off pitch issues have obviously taken a toll on him. How about sending Wilson out on loan and see if he can regain his form with some sustain playing time?

I've never seen SP play, but he sounds like he is better than what we have now, except for THudd. If this were to happen I think Willy going out on loan would help getting his confidence up, as USpur said. He was huge for us in the relegation battle and I think if he were loaned out and got consistent time in a starting XI in the EPL it could do wonders for his confidence and all around game; at the very least it could boost his market value if we were looking to sell him in the summer. I definitely think we need another strong CM who would command the midfield and protect the back 4 when THudd is injured. He could probably fit into a CDM spot if 'Arry opted to play a 4-5-1 in CL and away games in the EPL. He could also help mentor THudd and help mold him into more of a goal scorer in his time at WHL.
If he doesnt regain his form his value is only going to drop, the amount we paid (10-12) for him needs to be regained when he is sold and now is the ideal time to do that. Our squad has improved but he seems to be left behind in 2009....

I think SP is a great player that deserves to be playing in a better team than Westspam..... He will suit our type of football but most of all i think this will help Modric.
Modric is playing really well but atm he's doing the work of 2 players and his not concentrating on his own game.....SP will allow Modric to only get better and better imo!!

Yep but is it worth getting Parker to fill in for injuries for a few months. I don't think he's a bad player, but he is made to look like Superman because he is playing in the west ham team. I don't think that he could get in our best 11.

Parker has been playing really well tbh, and he"d definitely do a job for us but his age puts me off a bit.
we only need him til we get Thudd back and then 'arry would probably only use him in a 4-5-1. levy probably not to keen on age either though as he would get little return on the investment back, unless of course it helped into the top4 again at seasons end, then it would pay for itself for sure.
One month ago I would have passed signing SP (and if I remember right I allready commented on that), but now it´s a whole different story.
THud is injured and Wilson is out of form as we all have agreed allready. All of a sudden it makes every sense signing Scot Parker. He has been playing very good lately. I could easily see someone with his abilities to benefit our team and would fit in our starting 11 right away. Guy battles hard with spirit and is the kind of a ball winning player who allso can play with the ball. I see Parker fitting in our line-up right away in DMC position.
Roscono3 made a good point about how Parker would get even more out of Modric. I´m sure SP playing behind him would give Modders more chances going forward. Little while ago I said we don´t need him, but now I have to say let´s sign the lad. Estimated 8-10 mil is not a steal but still good business from our part in current situation.
