He = not worth the buy anyway!
Would end up injured more than likely.

Joe Cole has stated his desire to stay with Chelski, , anyway he"s a crock with a huge wage bill , so thats enough for me.
NO THANKS !

Not worth the buy when the buy is free???
Anyway as much as I do believe Cole would be a fantastic signing for Spurs, I highly doubt it would happen. His wage demands are just too high. Bass, I know he says he wants the 120k per week in order to feel as important as his team mates but that might not necessarily be the truth innit? He might just be in it for the money for all we know, as using the whole "undervalued" factor as an excuse for the media.
Besides, we have other positions where I feel we need to strengthen at the moment.
COME ON YOU SPURS!!!
Fook me woody i though that was Kev back.
I thought i was gonna have to get my banning button out again, lol.
Yeah, I get that I would be naive to think that asking for £120k/week is "not about the money"!!
However, is he only asking for that much because it is Chelsea? I think so. If it were any other situation (i.e. Joe AND Frank, or whoever, was on £80k/week & Joe says he wants the same as Terry so he does not feel undervalued) then I would deffo say it is ALL about the money, but when you are the only 1 out of players & you are getting £40k/week LESS, I can see Joe's point.
Then there is Abramovich's attempts to cut him down to just £30k/week - of course Joe is not going to sign! I genuinely don't think Joe would demand as much off of another team. He would off of City because I don't think City can provide him with the other things Joe wants.
United seem his most likely destination because they can give Joe the Champion's League football, the silverware AND a healthy wage.
I do think we have other cards up our sleeve that would genuinely interest Joe too. It would take some negotiating on our part but I don't see it as that far into the realms of the ridiculous to think he could end up at Spurs.
If Manchester United get involved then I think we would struggle but if it came down to us & City, I really think it would be 50/50
Jan Vertonghen!
Vertonghen is his name!
Spurs will never ever-ever,!
lose again!
COYSAFOYS
If he was cheap or free then I'd say maybe. I like Joe as an england player but when you consider the options we currently have in midfield, spending high prices on him would be ludacris.
Joe wants 120k a week and a five year deal at Chelski (32m total cost) if he 'signs' for Spurs, remember he's on a free, we could pay 10m signing on fee and 80k a week still 32m over five years.
JC would come to Spurs have no doubts, at the moment he is waiting to see who gets CL football. He has talked to Utd, Man City, ARSENAL, and about another ten clubs so far. Can't blame the lad for checking out his options probably his last 'big' pay day.
He has had injuries recently but hasn't got a bad injury record overall, no doubt he would strengthen our squad the question is do we need him? With Arron and David on the right he would need to play as the 'attacking midfielder in the hole' that would give us a stronger 4-5-1 line up if Eidur doesn't stay.
If we are going to spend 32m on a new player perhaps another CD would be better, but if we get CL then adding a player with Joe Cole's experience can only be good news.
EDIT - 'Arry has just said we don't need him so expect him to sign soon ..........

If we do get rid of Jenas, I can't think of a more perfect player to replace him with. I know people will give me the "YOU CAN'T DIRECTLY COMPARE THEM" speech, but I really don't care.
Harry Rules-Out Interest in Joe Cole
Harry Redknapp has said he is not interested in taking Joe Cole to Tottenham Hotspur despite Chelsea's apparent willingness to let the midfielder leave on a free transfer this summer.
Chelsea's recent more prudent approach to player contracts and Cole's wage demands have meant negotiations have stalled and, with only four months remaining on his current deal, he is free to talk to other clubs.
"Joe's a terrific player but I've got some great players here," Redknapp said. "I've got Luka Modric, Niko Kranjcar, Aaron Lennon, David Bentley."
Redknapp's squad is well-stocked with creative midfielders but his comments could be a smokescreen, with the Tottenham manager employing a similar approach before signing Peter Crouch last summer. Cole would prefer to remain in London and has close ties with Redknapp, who promoted him to West Ham's senior side as a 17-year-old in 1999.
Spurs, who host Fulham tonight in an FA Cup sixth-round replay, have announced the signing of the defensive midfielder Sandro from Internacional for about £6m, subject to the 21-year-old passing a medical.
The Brazilian, who has one cap for his country, flew to London this week to finalise the deal, although he will remain registered with his current club until the end of their Copa Libertadores campaign, which might potentially run until 18 August.
"I got a phone call this morning from the chairman [Daniel Levy] saying he thought we were close to doing it," said Redknapp. "He is an outstanding young player. He has already played for Brazil and captained the Under-18s, -19s and -21s. He is strong, he looks a very, very good player, so I am looking forward to getting him here."
Redknapp also said he will look to sign Eidur Gudjohnsen on a long-term contract after the on-loan Monaco striker scored his first goal for Spurs in Saturday's 2-1 win over Stoke City.
Gudjohnsen came on as a substitute for Roman Pavlyuchenko, who picked up a hamstring injury and is likely to miss tonight's match.
Tottenham's squad remains debilitated by injury with Jermaine Jenas, Lennon, Ledley King and Jonathan Woodgate long-term casualties. Jermain Defoe is likely to be out for at least another week but Tom Huddlestone returned to training yesterday.
"He's touch and go [to play Fulham] and I wouldn't chance him being out for two months. There's too much to play for at this stage of the season," said Redknapp, who will recall the midfielder Wilson Palacios in place of Younes Kaboul, who is Cup-tied. Bentley may return after suffering with a virus but is unlikely to start.
The Fulham manager, Roy Hodgson, is expected to restore Brede Hangeland, Bobby Zamora and Zoltan Gera to his starting line-up after resting them against Manchester City on Sunday.
Tottenham (probable, 4-4-2):
Gomes; Corluka, Dawson, Bassong, Assou-Ekotto; Kranjcar, Palacios, Modric, Bale; Gudjohnsen, Crouch.
Subs from: Alnwick, Dervite, Livermore, Bentley, Rose, Parrett, Townsend.
Fulham (probable, 4-4-1-1):
Schwarzer; Baird, Hangeland, Hughes, Konchesky; Duff, Etuhu, Murphy, Davies; Gera, Zamora.
Subs from: Zuberbühler, Stoor, Smalling, Kelly, Shorey, Riise, Greening, Dempsey, Okaka, Nevland.

Fook me its nailed on then if Arry says he's not needed.
I would imagine we face strong competition and it may mean the end of Eidur's plans of living in London again.
like joe cole good player when on form but suffers from injurys good buy if price and wages was right but do weed need him with the good crop of players that we have
I'll be honest, i'd stay away from Cole.
Crock, expensive (even on a free!) and we need a lot more strengh in other areas. Just don't see him being worth it
Your right its not really worth it but how nice would it be to take one of there star players for SOD ALL.....It be worth it just to see there faces!!
My favourite spurs player!
