If Samba joined us I wouldnt be disappointed, from what Ive seen he"s very strong in the air and pops up with a few goals too.

When we played blackburn last season, that big hure was everywhere!
He even made an acrobatic goal line clearance to deny a Pav hattrick, Some player that day!
On the day before Jorge Valdano was going to give 17 year old Raúl his Real Madrid debut,he went to see Raúl and said "I'm thinking of playing you tomorrow, but I'm worried you might be nervous." Raúl replied "Well, If you want to win, play me. If you don't want to win, put someone else in the team." Raúl Gonzalez Blanco <3
Think Spurs will benefit from him. What is more he handed in his transfer request... So price will be lower as well.
Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has played down speculation linking him with a move for unsettled Blackburn defender Chris Samba.
samba is seeking to leave Blackburn in the wake of sam sacking and has handed in a transfer request at Ewood Park.
harry is an admirer of Samba, but he has ruled out a move for the player as he feels he has enough cover at the back.
"He is a good player who has done a great job," Redknapp said.
"He has been a fantastic signing for Blackburn from Germany. But I am okay, I am strong at centre half. So he is not a player I would be looking to do anything with."
Super Tottenham! The Football World Is OURS!
Is he better than what we have? Very much doubt it.
I wonder how woody will return? God i hope he can stay fit for 5 or so months on loan, would love him back. If only we had a fully fit King, Woody and Daws. Probably would have the spine of the team that could win the league in my opinion. They're that good!
Don't forget we have Bongani Khumalo joining us in a few weeks too.
That leaves us with Kaboul, Dawson, Woodgate, King, Gallas, Bassong and Khumalo... 7 players for 2 positions. Take out Woodgate and King (for obvious reasons) and we are still blessed with 5 very good players. Kaboul has been outstanding recently, as has Gallas, and Dawson has come back and was great against Villa.
I would rather have Samba than Bassong, but I don't think Harry will bring in Samba, even if Bassong does go.
Although King, Gallas and Woodgate prob only have another season or two in them, I can't see us bringing yet another CB in.
However, Samba does offer us another option and that is going forward - if Crouch is to go he would be great going up for freekicks and corners, I just can't see it happening with the centrebacks we already have.
No chance - our defence has a habbit of all getting injured at the same time but we can't fill the team with defenders just in case - we've got enough now.

Strong CB and good in the air, but does he really fit our style of play that well and I doubt he would even be more than rotation player. No for me.
Dawson, Gallas, Kaboul, Bassong, King and Khumalo.
Woodgate out on loan.
We dont, unfortunatley, need Samba
"Modric could play in any team in the world in my opinion, he's a fantastic footballer, top, top class."
I wonder if Khumalo is actually any good though, or if he's gonna rot for 3 years and get sold to some second rate european team or back to Africa.
@spurs_striker
we wouldnt waste our time bringing him in if he wasnt PL standard....especially since he had a trial at the end of August he must have impressed. I do think that a lot of his transfer has to do with our partnership with SuperSport (his club) so we've brought him in on the cheap so its not like we've splashed the cash on him so if he doesnt work out in the end its no major loss.
Steven Caulker is the messiah!
Totally agree with spursman18. Khumalo did show last summer he can perform against the top players. His goal against France was well executed special team header. It`s silly to consider if he is any good or not before we can see how he performs in EPL action. Who had ever heard of the likes of Kolo Toure etc before they became key players in their clubs. Overall I think Africa is the continent where you can find treasures allmost for free. For 1,5 mil this signing could become alot more profitable for us than any of us ever dreamed of. Low (if hardly any) risk - high reward potential, but we`ll see in a few years time.
Wellcome Khumalo! I`m exited to see you in action.
