I saw a bit of Cleiton Xavier a couple years back with Figueirense & he looked a decent player (despite the club getting relegated), although I would say he plays further forward than Hernanes. However, these 3rd party ownerships don't go down well in England & are often avoided.
What do you think of Rodrigo Souto of Santos out of interest? I have only seen him a couple times this season but he seemed to be maturing into a very decent defensive mid who also could be quite creative when he wanted to be. I would be intrigued to know if I just caught him on a good day or whether he actually does have something to him. At 25 he should be just about coming into his best years also.

I don't think we've seen as much from Rodrigo Souto as he can show. He plays very defensivly for Santos, who play with three AM's: Madson, Ganso and Neymar. The latter two are under 19, so they need two mids to plug up the back, a job Rodrigo does very well.
He could be a surprise if he signs for a non-elite Champions League side or a club like Tottenham, who would play him as a CM and not just holding.
