I think this story has just emerged simply because Turner is in demand, Spurs need a CB and we are stuck in China together!
Personally, I think it is Bassong we want. He would just make so much more sense because he is left-footed & quick. He offers us something different even with all our defenders fit again.
I wouldn't be disappointed with Turner, he was excellent even when Hull were awful last year, but he is too much like what we already have and he is not quick enough.

as everyone has said i tink Basosng would be a much better signing although Tunrer would be a decnt signing in the short term for cover if need be but hopefullyfor around £3m rather than £8m

I think he's a good young player, still has a lot to learn but has potential to be a really good defender, playing and training with Woogate and King (sometimes) would bring him on quite a bit.

if he can develop his reading of the game and cut out the silly mistakes he would be class
