True, as I remember we snapped a certain HR's hand off when he came-a-knockin for Mr Defoe who was into his last year of his contract, so maybe we can pull off a similar coup from the Chavs
Im still not sure about Cole. If he was fully fit, i wouldn't think twice about that price. But with the injuries he seems to get, he may well be another to add to the list of crocks.
If he stayed injury free I think he'd be fantastic for us. Especially working with Redknapp.

Like I said, the Chavs said Carlo was not going anywhere just before he moved to us, so I am not just going to believe their statement for the sake of it. It actually seems a little odd to immediately dismiss such a rumour this way - a little bit 'Man Utd & Ronaldo' if you ask me.
Also, Joe would have to pass a full medical just like anyone else. I actually think he would be far better off at Spurs than Chelsea anyway because we all know how good our medical staff are &, allegedly, Chelsea's ain't up to much. Deco & Carvalho were both pretty scathing about Chelsea's medical staff & the club's handling of their recovery programs.

Cole has said he is staying at Chelsea and they are preparing to offer him a new deal worth 100k a week.
I think he will until January anyway, but he also said that it depends on whether he gets much game time too. If Chelsea get Pirlo, I can't see Cole getting on much, but we'll see. You just never know with these things & so often players/clubs say 1 thing only for the complete opposite to happen days later
