Soz mate but none of those quotes are realy substantiated and the bit above is the important issue I was kinda trying to make.

He gave us another year as he was talked round by MJ.

We still failed to deliver what we promised him (CL footy) and Levey wouldnt let him leave to a club that he DID state he always dreamed of playing for.

We held him out to dry in the end and he was prety much backed into a corner.

I dont for a seccond condone what he did or the way that he did it. But for his career he had to do something.

I aslo will never question the business ethics of Mr Levy as he is a financial wizard who has balanced this club in the black for many a season while others around us rack up hundreds of millions of pounds of debt and run at a loss.

Now the original question was would you take him back?

I stand by the face that him and Keano were probably the best strike partnership the Premier League has ever seen.

Comparable partnerships would have bees SAS or Yorke and Cole.

No other strike pairings come close.

Take into consideration the strides that the league has come on since the 90's when SAS and Cole/Yorke dominated and the Berba/Keane partnership was 2 seasons ago.

I agree on the bolded parts; also I actually think that what Keano did was worse, and he's back and welcomed and loved -- so it does raises the question, why not Berbatov? No offence to Keane, but Berbatov really made him look better (in fact, it goes both ways)...so I kinda see where you're coming from.

But I still think he could've and should've handled the situation better. As he was there, planning his dream out, we were left in the sink with our worse start of a season ever.

You do make good points...hmm, about the answer to the original question, I would have to get back to you on that. I am now torn on the subject.

He also said many times that spurs was his club and his home... dont say that if you are just gonna change your mind when you fancy it!

whilst we're on the subject...Berba may sulk, but has anyone not seen the constant moaning from Keane to both refs and his team-mates???

If there really was a god, he'd've answered my prayers for berba to stay, so i have concluded there is none! although he did send us Luka Modric so maybe....
you've obviously never been to Dublin, they are all Man U or Liverpool because of the many Irish players they've had over the years.

id have him back in a fcukin heartbeat. i idolised him cuz he was ice cold never panicked, nobody cud take the ball of him and he was inspirational to all the team old as well as the young. its such a pity his goal was to play for the most sucessful team in england. i respect him, he never pledged any alegiance to us unlike some players and i can see why he behaved bad towards the end - not saying i agree with his behaviour, jus understand it.

If he wanted out that badly he shouldn't of signed a contract extension earlier in the year should he? He completely disrespected the club with the way he acted about it all.

Hes a disgusting player that doesnt deserve the sweat of my sack, FFS please remind yourself of the away game at St James Park where he stuck two fingers up to Jol and the rest of the fans by refusing to warm up.
He makes me sick, its attitudes like his Ronaldo who is sulk enough get what they want, f*ck him i despise the arsehole.
thankfully not everyone here is blind. imo anyone who want would him back cos of a few lil' bits o' silk is no worse than wag, downright shallow. He wouldn't do anything other than strutt around (again) feeling he was owed something for coming back. we owe him jack s*it.

I'm sorry guys and girls but your stupid if you would not have berbatov back. He and keane smashed in the goals?! He is a proven goal scorer in epl?! Some of you need to wake up a little, you can't blame him for having dreams! But he isn't half the player he was when with keane...

      I'd welcome him back

It's not the fact he had dreams - in fact, I really respect Berba for turning down Citeh to pursue those dreams, he's a better man than Barry in that respect. However, it's the way he childishly went about making that dream a reality that pisses most people off. So no, I don't think we do need to 'wake up a little'. If anyone does its Berba, needs to pull his finger out before they cart him off to some crappy european team
