I wanna see Poulsen at the Lane. He is rough, tough and hard-working which pleases Spurs fans as we love to see a hard-worker. He would fit into the team perfectly alongside Palacios or in the centre and provide that bit more steel and quality to the side.

Poulsen and his agent refused to do a loan deal with Fulham. They are looking for permanent deal and are willing to drop his wages.

Good, hard working defensive midfielder, who's a certain starter with the danish national side (granted, that doesn't say it all, but still ), with a decent passing game. Not a flamboyant type at all, but he doesn't usually commit as many fouls as in that video above (although I loved seeing him hammer Gattuso down :P). And he does have a tendency to piss better players off when marking them, I remember Totti spitting in his face during some EC or WC game, because he'd followed him around making him look like a nobody for an entire game.

I think he'd do well in any EPL side, he certainly has the mentality to cope with the game in England rather than Italy I feel. Could be a good signing.

Good post Spursdk, i agree he will do well, and is a very good midfielder. Im just not overly-endeared to the guy after some of his antics... but i guess he and Palacios would be a frightening midfield

EDIT- on a sidenot, i accidently pressed a keyboard buitton that has made the screen zoom out lol and the writing is all small... any1 know how to zoom it back in? help appreciated

1. Hold down CTRL and press your + button

2. Hold down CTRL and use your mouse wheel

3. Go to View -> Text Size and adjust to fit

4. Turn it off and back on again

This deal seemed to die quite quickly, but just something that might interest people quickly, Sky sports have been reporting from their sources (which are quite reliable to be fair) that liverpool are going to replace Xabi Alonso with Christian Poulsen!

Now Poulsen is decent but to replace Alonso? I don't want to get into the bindippers but Alonso is one of the best midfielders in the world, playing internationally for one of the best countries in the world right now, and they are going to let him go for a 29-yr-old that couldn't get in front of another player Benitez let go, (mohammed Sissoko)

Very Strange one, especially with Man Utd losing Ronaldo and Tevez, you would have thought Liverpool would have moved in to try to take advantage, Oh well, he would have done well for us if we were seriously interested, but there you go.

Liverpool are expected to use some of the £30m they gained from the sale of Xabi Alonso to Real Madrid to make an £18m offer for Roma midfielder Alberto Aquilani.
