haha, i like tuncay aswell unit but can you see a place for him in our starting 11? i cant.
I would love Zhirkov to come. I mentioned him a few times earlier in the season but I think it's highly unlikely that we'll land him.
As for Cole, I do rate him, but IMO he's just another one of Chelsea's attacking midfielders converted into a left winger. He cuts inside quite often and that eliminates width, which can't be a good thing. We need a natural winger...someone to hog the touchline like Lennon does. That way we can open up as much as possible when we attack.

Yep true, although he was returning from some 5 months out, so can't really slate him too much for being sloppy. However, I don't think he is the best choice to solve our LW problem and we should look for someone better and younger.

only just spotted this thread, but would like to add the fact that petrov himself stated his reasons for joining Citeh over us was due to more first team involvement/starts.

I didn't realize he was asking for such a high wage and i was thinking he would be a perfect fit. I wonder if we could put a clause in his personal contract that would award some extra wage for good performances. Give him a two year contract and see how it goes. If nothing else, he could fill that position until someone like Bale, Gio, or Modric become a better option. I thought he was one of the most impressive players for City last year. If the left winger positon isn't acquired at some point during the summer, I'd really like to see what Gio could do there.
