I wouln't like to see Gomes out of ther number 1 spot. I have a lot of faith in Gomes. Think of his first few performances. He's fantastic now but can u imagine if he wasn't getting games in and had no confidence again, he'd be a worse second that Alnwick, Unless he feels he has absolutely no future at Chelsea and might be in with a chance with us. Personally want Gomes kept right where he is in no1

This fella can give the back four the confidence that it needs to get out of the trouble are in the league.
He hasn't signed because he's been promised anything, that would defeat the purpose of signing him. He has been signed to provide stiff & realistic competition for the number 1 jersey. He has been at Chelski for a very long time & won many things with them but has not been able to topple Cech whatever he does. He wants a fresh challenge & believes he will have a fairer chance to win first choice keeper here at Spurs. Good on him, & good on Harry, great signing.

Sadly, he will still be ineligible for the CC final as he played for Chelsea against Burnley. He might do a job in UEFA for us tho.

If Gomes is still injured, which i think he will be as he has been carrying knocks for a while, maybe Carlo will play against Stoke tomorrow

      I hope so......

This is a fantastic signing. Gomes is still no1 tho, but it is nice to know that if Gomes starts to fall apart again or is injured, we have a quality replacement to bring in.

Good signing but my only worry is his lack of games, he has only played about 25 times in the last 4 seasons. He hasn't played much for the reserves as he is always on chelskis bench so it may take a little time for him to get to his best. I just worry he might have some gomes moments from the start of the season at a time when we don't need any mistakes.

And yet Gomes has played practically every game for the last 3-4 years for PSV and has been nothing but trouble ever since he came (though he's improving). Fact is every time Cudicini plays he plays pretty well and he isn't mistake prone unlike our Gomes.

Well chuffed about this signing, great bit of business. I don't think he'll push Gomez out, but it'll certainley give him to think about.
