Some of his runs on that video are superb. If he can play like that in the premiership we should sign him pronto.

Plus showing interest in other players, such as Gervinho, may be a way of encouraging players and clubs to lower prices/wages ( Nice/Young) expectations, make sure they know that they are not the only people we are after. That being said i do like the look of Gervinho, however the 15m Euros sounds a bit steep, not that i believe thats that what any deal would be done for with Levy involved . . . . 8-9 possibly, maybe more but in clauses that wont be triggered for while.

Well there goes that link.... Spurs face winger snub | Tottenham Hotspur - EatSleepSport
not all dead and buried...... basically says that if the right offer is made to the club then he would consider.
What's the difference between Gervinho and Gyan ? Who had the better WC, and who is most likely to score between the two of them. We're loaded with attacking midfielders and Gio plays in his position remember..!
it says on wikipedia that he loves arsenal and would always want to play for them? is that some goon having a childish play on wiki?
No offence but why would you ever use wiki for anything other the games played, past clubs and goals.... And even they arnt reliable. It's a site that can be edited by anyone, I wouldn't believe anything I read on there!
I'm not quite convinced of Gervinho. He seems like one of those players who always looks very dangerous but no end product.
I'd Rather have Keita?!
On the day before Jorge Valdano was going to give 17 year old Raúl his Real Madrid debut,he went to see Raúl and said "I'm thinking of playing you tomorrow, but I'm worried you might be nervous." Raúl replied "Well, If you want to win, play me. If you don't want to win, put someone else in the team." Raúl Gonzalez Blanco <3
Definitely. In the last year Gervinho has been superb, whereas Dindane has lost a little of what he had. To be fair, when I made that post it was around the time Dindane got injured & that injury was big. He hasn't been the same since he returned, altho he was hitting his stride a bit toward the end of his time with Pompey.
Also, Gervinho was still pretty young at that point & still mainly a winger, whereas Dindane was/is an out & out striker - which is what we needed most at the time. However, Gervinho has since played frequently as a striker & when he does he knows where the net is However, as with many of the 'strikers' we've been linked with this window, he is still a very good winger too, which is where he plays for the Ivory Coast usually
Just to make the point tho:
In 2007/8 Gervinho got just 2 League goals in 28 games (19 starts) & 5 assists
In 2008/9 Gervinho got just 6 League goals in 33 games (27 starts) & 3 assists
Those are not bad stats for a winger at all, especially 1 as young as he was at the time. However:
In 2009/10 Gervinho scored 13 League goals in 32 games (28 starts) & 4 assists
Much better. He was used as a striker much more but still as a winger too & he is still only 23, so the likelihood is that he will only improve.
