He'll be back soon. It's a loan deal after all
Till we meet again Charlie![]()
Reporter: "What is it like to score against the best team in the world [Barcelona]?".
Jake Livermore: "Score against the best team in the world??? I play for them [TOTTENHAM]."

with nelson coming, in looks as if kaboul could be used as the back up right back if walker picks up a knock. charlie at times looked like a walking disaster with his pace, especially if we're out to challenge for the title! having walker there has really added something to the right side!
I believe it is a guaranteed buy option at the end of the loan period .

either way, it's a shame. great touch, great guy, once gave a spurs fan the watch off his wrist! go get em charlie!
So its guaranteed................ Except from the price.
So we say he's worth 10 million and they say 5............... How in gods name can that be guaranteed?
What happens if DL puts on his stubborn bastard face and doesnt budge from his idea of fair value.
Guaranteed sale after loan my fookin arse.
I mean there is a loan to buy option and he doesnt perform well then he'll come back. They want to be sure that he's worth the money they've said they'd pay for him.
Steven Caulker is the messiah!
Also, it could have something to do with Charlie's injury record. Yes, a medical would show that there's nothing seriously wrong with him, but he's had ongoing problems with tendonitis in his ankles. He's hardly featured for us. So, if they'd bought him, Leverkusen wouldn't be best impressed, if he played a couple of games and then, missed the next six.
AND, if Charlie stays fit(ish) and has a good Euro 2012, he bumps up his value even more. Some other club might then want him - and Levy will sit there, rubbing his hands with glee!
Good look to Charlie and I hope he performs well.

Can't say I don't prefer Walker's skillset but Charlie is a good player who should fit in somewhere.
He's not cup-tied in Europe is he? Since we started in Europa and Leverkusen were in the CL, he can play Champions League football right? Would be pretty awesome for some of his first action to be against ****ing Barcelona :P
