If Harry is willing to sell both then there are obviously replacements in mind. As it stands, I could see one leaving but not the pair.

I don't want to lose either of those players. They have both had bad injuries but there aren't many wide midfielders out there better than them willing to sit on the bench. Get rid of Gio, replace with a true winger, that's the only midfield signing we need. Striker and CB are still the priority areas.

<------ Arsene Wenger
or sell both to buy one top class rw?
I agree, i think one would leave and then hopefully a top top player would come in and rotate with vdv/bale/lennon and then whichever of the 2 stays would then be behind him in the pecking order. I would prefer to keep niko as i believe he's the much more quality player however pienaar offers more versatility and a better work rate. Just depends on if/who we bring in really but whoever it is needs to be a top draw attacking player.
The more i think about it the more i think that harry is happy with our cb's and can only see somebody along the lines of verthongen coming in for his versatility as he can play in 2 or 3 positions. There arent too many top quality attacking players available but with just one 20-30m player in the right position we could be a real force. Shaqiri for me although he has cl and will be tough to get him away from basle

dont forget also things like this can also depend on other outgoings from the squad. If players like Gomes, Bassong, Pav, Dos Santos, Corluka do not find a new club then bringing in a top player will be tough as we would ideally need wages free'd up for them. Only then we could contemplate letting either Niko or Pienaar go for a quality replacement as well as a cover rb/cb
I'm okay with losing, say, Pienaar and bringing in someone a lot better. Kaka? (sorry)
I don't want to lose both though.
I WANT KAKA! Give me give me give me!![]()
Kaka is no good. I want CR9. Proven in the PL.
Seriously though, I don't mind Pienaar leaving but I hope Niko stays. He is quality.
I cant help but think that as special as that would be, kaka would be more injured than VDV plus where the heck do we play him? Doesnt work!!!

I like Pienaar and I'm a little gutted it hasn't worked out for him BUT I think we're all about pace. Pienaar is great at holding the ball and is technically gifted but he's not got the pace we need.
I'd loan him back to Everton and get another wide player in with pace.
My favourite spurs player!

This.
I think it's pretty shocking that we still havent got a decent back-up for Lennon. I've always said that it's really bad news if you have to change your system due to injuries. We really need some pacey back-up for Lennon and Bale so we don't have to stick Modric or VDV out on the wings. Our game is so much about their pace, I just think it's mad that we haven't got out-and-out pacey wingers to come in for them. Although you could argue that we have Townsend to come in for Bale, but Harry seems reluctant to give him EPL games at this point. When we stick Modric out on the right, not only have we lost the pace of Lennon, we've lost Modric's control of the midfield...or we've lost any cover for Walker lol.
I can totaly see why we bough in Pienaar though, as he can play on both wings. He's been very unlucky with injuries really, might have been a different story otherwise.

Has Stevo made a PL appearance for us this season?
I don't think he has... If we can get more than the £2m we paid for him it would be a great deal. Sad because I loved him at the world cup and Everton, and injuries meant he never truly settled here. But money from him can only help the club!
