Dunno why but it always surprises me how good he is, might be cuz he plays for blackburn.

Would be a good signing if the price was right, 8-9mil maybe. If we can get him unsettled maybe less.

Jesus man, that's what pissed us all off about Chelsea and Modric in the summer. If we go doing that then we will just be a big bunch of hypocrites.. I don't think we would need to unsettle the lad to get the price down to be honest. They will most likely be relegated this season so we will get him for next to nothing in the summer I would say.

Don't think it would take much unsettling to get Hoilett to want to leave Blackburn. I'd imagine their impending relagation would be more than enough.

I s'pose it pissed me off a little bit, but thats football mate. I'd rather be a hypocrite and get a good deal than be naive and pay more than we have to.

Though I have to say I am not sure he adds that much of a new wrinkle to our squad and maybe I'm the minority here from the sounds of it, but I for one don't feel ready to give up on Lennon. Still think he is an excellent player who at 24 has not even entered his prime.
Yep, I'm not willing to give up on him either. I've always absolutely loved watching him play the 5 years I've been a supporter, and have always thought he was underrated. But I think competition is what he needs. Because they way he's performed, no top 6 side would pay for his tag.

Canada has tried to call him up multiple times but he won't commit to a National team. He is eligible for Canada and Jamaica.

I saw some quotes last year which suggested he preferred Canada, weird.

I'd rather have Marc Albrighton although he is likely to be hard to get. Holilett looks better coming inside on his right foot so would struggle to get games imo. I really enjoy watching Albrighton and he is getting better all the time, he certianly would be competition for Lennon.

I doubt he will leave Blackburn even if they do go down to the Championship. As he's Canadian its not as if he needs to play regular Premier League football in order to keep his international place. A mate of mine, a Blackburn fan, informs me that he is pretty committed to the club. He's been quoted as saying he will never leave after what the club has done to help him and his family in the north west. If he does leave though, a good club will snap him up. Good player.

Have a hard time believing this, particularly if a top half club come in with an offer.

i couldnt see a player like that staying in the championship for potentially more than a year if they were to go down because they dont seem like a club that would just bounce back up again. Also not to mention the financial hit the club would take he's one of the only players they've got who's worth a decent chunk.

We've now all taken a fresh look at him. What are your thoughts?

He still has to work on that finishing touch but I think he can be the answer to our needs. Not a big fan of Lennon, even while he's on form.

I wonder if Blackburn still have interest in Bentley (from a couple of reports back). Bentley + 5mil. Get it done.

I think he'd benefit by having quality players around him.

Right midfield is now clearly a problem position for us

If we can get him on the cheap then yes. Throwing in David Bentley to a potential deal would be great.

Thought he was actually quite good...

Looked like he could take on a man, he's very pacey, and has got a good final ball/shot.

      Plus he's only 21.

      And he's homegrown.

And he's a RW/St, which is good as we need players that will break us from the monotony of 4-4-2.

So would like to see this happen.
