He was so comfortable on the ball last night vs Bosnia compared to Ronaldinho.

It would be interesting to see how Ganso, Hazard and Modric coul be shoehorned into the same midfield. Maybe if we employed a 4-6-2 formation
I know you're joking but lately I've been a fan of the 3-5-2. The 3 man back line is going to be the next big thing. I know it's not new but I think it's the tactical next step for teams that play possession football. Barca and Juve have been employed these tactics very well this season.
I don't think we have the right personnel to do with, which isn't a bad thing. There's just no way you can play Bale, Lennon, Walker and BAE.
He is young and from what i have seen from santos games,he sure can hit and pass the ball. He also have mad technical skills. He knows Sandro.
Great back up to Modric... Big Ganso fan.. would love to have him at spurs![]()

When Glenda was England manager he commonly went 3-5-2, which is fine except when you try to use it for players used to 4-4-2.
I'm intrigued by Bielsa's 3-3-1-3. High tempo, yet can go horribly wrong. A real shit or bust formation perhaps?
Speaking of Bielsa.

Yeah I remember, and England were a little more entertaining but like you said England didn't have the players.
I think when it fails people are quick to point to the 3 at the back but in modern football fullbacks are just extra wingers anyways. I think that's excuses for failings elsewhere on the pitch. Personally I think having a 3 man back-line is essentially saying I'll abandon the fullbacks and add another strong defender. Whereas you typically hear people view that as losing defensive strength. That doesn't always have to be the case especially because these days FB's are average defenders. When the defenders are versatile like Chellini who can play CB, LB and DM I think it makes you more solid then playing with a true FB.
Just for argument sake say if we played with this sometime in the future.
You have cover left to right because both Kaboul and Vertonghen can play FB.
Caulker stays home which he'd do anyways being a stereotypical stopper.
And Sandro can protect the back three sort of like De Rossi.
I wouldn't be for us playing that tactically because good players wouldn't get selected but I don't understand the negativity sometimes with 3 players at the back in modern football. It can work if the players are well drilled and you have the right personnel.
