German international starlet confirms Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur interest*|*Football Transfer Rumours, Football Gossip and Football Debate| CleanSheetsAllRound.co.uk – The Alternative Football Website
Germany starlet Marko Marin has confirmed that both Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have been in touch with his agent over a possible transfer.
The 22-year-old is seen as one of the brightest prospects in German football and was on the scoresheet for Bremen in a 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur earlier this season.
However, the Werder Bremen midfielder insists he won’t be leaving the Bundesliga in the near future.
“Tottenham and Liverpool called my agent and said they´re interested, but there wasn’t an official offer,” said Marin.
“Nobody has to worry about that [Marin leaving Bremen], because it’s not my intention to move on in summer.”

"#LFC's opening bid for Marko Marin was a paltry 6.8million GBP. 7.1mil including potential add-ons. Has Comolli written all over it."
Looks like they're snooping around.....they started the bidding low with Suarez as well.

I can see him going to the Dippers.
If he does, it would be nice to see them pay over the odds for him..
He's Just as good as Hoddle, He's better than Chris Waddle, His Mrs is a Model, He's Rafael Van Der Vaart!
Marin would be 2nd on my shortlist for this style of player. I would rather we signed Eriksen. True two footed player which means he can score and whip in crosses from both wings. He can cover for VDV too.
Rumors say Arsenal are after him, 'Arry and Levy need to get on that.

Could be, haven't seen that game, but I have seen all of his games for Ajax. Even VDV has played on the wing for Holland, but he's not a winger. They're actually very similar type players, both also lack the pace and width for the wings.
For me it would depend what position we'd want to be filled, Marin on the wing, Eriksen on 10.

Does that mean that Levy is thinking about selling Modric ?

Marko Marin is a left winger lads, He isn't a replacement for Modric or VDV, he would be decent competition for Bale and great cover for him when he is injured which is getting increasingly frequent. I would have him or Hazard to give competition for both our wings. Two great young talents.
