I am not so much pissed that we have not signed anyone Brilliant but more pissed that we tried so hard to get these world class players only to be so naive as to let them use us to get better deals elsewhere. We have to show more heart in getting the best players rather than enquiring and have them club or player make the contact public to attract a better deal from another club, like Palermo for example. Or Fabiano making it public that we are interested only to have him sign an improved deal with Sevilla. We are far to naive in the transfer market and we should be just as rootless as they agents, selling clubs and the players. This is the modern transfer market and we have to get with times and close deals before other clubs do.

Scott Parker would be an improvement on the current Palacios we have. Babel has all the potential to be something big, can play in a 4-3-3 (if we ever wanted to go that way). As I said I would have loved a big-name signing as everyone else, but we have no idea what actually happened behind the scenes with any of the deals. Strength in depth is key in Europe and either Parker or Babel would add to that.

Ha, it was only irritating because we offered the same amount of money a few months before. The post deadline thing was just salt into the wound.
