I don't think City are in for good players. Ireland and Bellamy are good players and City are ready to let them go for almost nothing. City wants world class players who sign not only for wages but also the situation. I don't see a player like Villa, a top class player who changed teams this year, going to City after the reputation they are establishing.
The way city are goin, they will just have a bunch of 11 individuals running around on the field all playing for themselves because they know they could so easily be dropped back down to the bench again.
