Hell yeah! I'd much rather give Townsend a chance over that joker Pienaar.

Riiiighhttt, choosing a player who has never played in the PL over a player who has loads of experience and versatility.

Townsend has loads of potential but he still needs to improve his overall game. If he wants to be a back up player next season then thats great but he'll most likely go out on loan at some point next season.

or me because pienaar is a better player atm,but we have 2 wingers and to have only 1 player for cover is not enough IMO

Yeah I agree but I would prefer Townsend going out on loan for part of the season as opposed to sitting on the bench waiting for a player in front of him to get an injury for him to get a game.

I would love to give the kid a chance. We need some young blood and he has the talent. He stepped in and made a great impact in the cup game.

He needs to work on his final ball, but has plenty of pace in his game that Harry loves.

Wont be surprised to see him get a few games in the cup competitions or Europa League, however if he isnt playing week in week out then a loan would best the best thing for him (for the latter part of the season).

Agree that Pienaar has experience, but from what I saw this year in the spurs shirt tells me that he lacks the pace and creativeness to do much of anything. I saw the same thing in the WC when he was supposed to be SA best player. Andros provides that flare and every game I have seen him play, he has created a chance or provided a flare. He is the perfect player to get in the cup games. He needs to be a squad player much like Walker and Rose. These players have been out on numerous loans and deserve the chance to make a name for themselves in a Spurs shirt.

It's difficult for a player to come in mid season and make an immediate impact, judge Pienaar once he's had a full season with us. Walker & Rose are a bit ahead of Townsend as far as how they're progressing, Townsend still needs to gain some experience playing first team football week in week out. If he isnt getting it with us, he will most likely want games and a loan would be a great thing for him.

      Depends who we are playing....

With all due respect, if we are playing Swansea at home, then I'd maybe choose to give Townsend a chance. Also I'd probably play Townsend early on in the Europa League.

If we're playing Man Utd away though then Pienaar every time.

Townsend has a bright future don't get me wrong, but it's not his time yet if you ask me.
