So lets say they will only come to us if we play CL this season,
but they can't be sure that we will play it next season also.

So they would't be happy without champions league this year but it would be okay for them if we don't play it next season.
(would that mean they failed at making it happen somehow after this new premier league season ends and would only have themselfs to blame for the missed CL appearance possibility)

i need a break now, i thought about the things you wrote way too much...

ok looks like my (and the rest of the yids army) fear is turning true; we do not have a target, no idea who we're gonna sign, the season's opening, quali is coming, we have to make do with the lads god know's which side gonna turn up to play (Wolves(we lost) or Citeh(we won)...i am deeply worried.

dont get me wrong, i have absolute trust and faith in the lads but still cant help feeling worried.

At the end of the day, the lads we have got us into 4th position and the Champs League qualifiers. Bassong did well when given the chance so looks like he will start with Daws against City. Im happy with that pair. King will be available for the qualifier in Champs League, happy days. We were without Lennon for half the season, he's fit again. Bale is on fire. We have enough quality to do very well on all fronts. The frustration is understandable as I have felt it too but if Harry hadn't have mentioned anything about a special signing, 3 more players etc, we wouldn't be expecting it as much!

Think ourselves lucky that we have extended Mod's contract, kept Harry and we haven't sold any of our best players (like we have done in the past!) As a team, the lads have bonded and know each others game. Clubs like City on the other hand have spent a fortune and are expected to play like brothers eventhough they are pretty much a brand new team. We dont have players who need 6 games to get going, we will be ready from the start and will do well with the lads we have!! COYS

I can see why we might be holding off on that special signing until we know where we're playing in Europe, but I'm surprised we haven't made a move to secure a centerback yet. I've got to think that Arry is confident City agrees to sell Richards as the transfer window nears closing.

I think this season is even more important than some people are billing it as. My reasoning for this is that how well we do in the league and champions league next year will define the kind of players that will want to sign for spurs and hopefully prove to the rest that last season wasnt just a fluke. I just think if we have an average season then we'll just be seen as same old spurs just a side that will always languish just outside the top 4. Harry and the board need to sit down and just think this is the chance the club has been waiting for why dont we seize the moment and spend some cash. We're a club thats rich enough and has enough backing that means we can afford to and not end up in a leeds like situation. So come on harry splash some cash

The spurs club secretary was asked today on ssn if the failure to reach the group stages will affect this summers transfer budget to which he replied it will not affect it in the slightest and he just repeated we have 25 days left to sign players,patience is needed chaps although very frustrating.

all the hype of a special signing could already have been in our rank. in fact it should read as 'now we are a special team'. as the day move by my disappointment is fast turning into enthusiasm as i can see the team's attitude in training and matches where they came back from goal down, bar the villareal game.

players are maturing and raring to play again. there is renewed believe from everyone. keane is scoring again, paly got a couple/gareth too. GDS scored a beauty, gomez is claiming we could fight for title, not forgeting Harry and defoe. quite honestly i dont think anyone can boast of having the same squad intact from last season, bar the new zidane whom i dun rate at all. we have sandro coming in and so far is looking to be a good signing from his last couple games. So what more do we need?

i say lets try and if possible, get remy and richards. believe crouchie departure is picking speed (sad if he goes) and we still need extra cover for strike and defence. we have citeh and boys coming up next and so long we continue to play like last season (latter half), i dun see why we cant pull it off. Come on you Spurs!

finally, just in case someone starts bemoaning the fact that mega rich club are buying all available, there is just one thing which they could never undo us and that is we are rich in our team spirit! Go Harry, make us proud and show everyone around why you need not be rich to be happy!

Anyone else find this a crappy deal? Why should we let Keano go to villa just because we want Young from them. Dont understand the point of this.

Yeah me , I find this a crappy deal , Robbie Keane looks like he is coming into form again , so why let him go ?

OR , is it that the club were just waiting for him to find some form in order to get a better price for him ?
