Im a bit surprised at the cheat comments, I think it was a natural reaction that was punished by the penalty and a sending off.
Its a situation that happens in games where, whatever the punishment it still seems unfair, and I dont know the answer.
I also would take Suarez without any hesitation.

The guy is a cheat. He's been diving and flopping around the whole game, he stops a ball that's basically in the goal with his hands. Maybe if it happened once you could say forgive and forget, Ghana messed up there chance. But the fact is he consistently cheats, also at Ajax, and I don't want Suarez anywhere near this club.
Cavani I thought was again very unimpressive, but then again most of you seem to think he's a top player. I didn't watch Palermo too much last season, but tbh, if I'm going based off this WC, he's not any better than Pavlyuchenko (who also drops back and helps the defense).

Well all I have to say to any one who doesnt want him here is dont worry cause he isnt coming![]()
Enfield is right about that being cheating in theory.
According to SSN Fifa may step in and extend his suspension meaning that he would miss the final should Uruguay progress.
Martin Jol On building his Spurs legacy: 'This is one of the biggest clubs in Europe and I want to be part of its history,'
Agree that the rules need amending because this situation allows players to cheat "for a greater cause". just as with tactical fouls and last defenders bringing down strikers clear on goal, there are degrees of severity.
I think the problem here is that the punishment did not outweigh the gain, so it became a easy choice to make. His reaction and glee declaring it the hand of god and best save of the tournament does speak volumes about the type of player he is though.
the laws do not allow for goals to be given based on him clearing it off the line with an illegal appendage (ooh), so that combined with gyan's miss resulted in this miscarriage of justice which I suspect is the impetus for the emotionalreponse to Ghana being robbed of a result they deserved.
I think Suarez's statement was merely a nervous release; trying to get over the fact that he put his team in awful predicament...only to be rescued by Gyan clanging the PK. I'm cool with it and would take Suarez in a heartbeat - a player with passion and the determination to win.
Suarez has done nothing wrong when saving that goal. It's all by rules and rules say if you stop ball on goal line with hand you get red and other team gets penalty. I would do same and every other footballer would do same.

He broke the rules, and got rightfully punished for it. Ghana had their reward and mucked it up. I'm sure we'd be praising him if he did that for us in the CL knockout stages. If he does nothing, it's a goal and Uruguay are out. If he handles it he gives his team a chance. Plus it was instinct.
He is a tit though for coming out with the hand of god rubbish after, just looking for some attention.
"You score goals as a kid. Then you grow up stupid and become a goalkeeper."
There isn't a person on this planet whose natural instinct would not push that ball away from the goal.
If you show me someone, I'll show you a liar.
I make the point again, are some of you really trying to tell me you wish Klinsmann had never played for Spurs?
Jan Vertonghen!
Vertonghen is his name!
Spurs will never ever-ever,!
lose again!
COYSAFOYS
off topic guys
about cavani, imo he is nowhere near top-class, not impressed by the lad and i think he isn't any better a striker then what we already have here
