The story its self is tragic.
Its just as CTW said a shameless plug to get herself in the red tops and show her wearing as many items of clothing she can. She said in the title that she is involved in fashion.
Whats with the retro Dizzee rascal sound track btw. Awesome, but irrelevant.
One thing I throw out to the board is when does banter become abuse?
FML!!! this broad knows **** all about football and is only making the doc as some kinda publicity stunt for her self.
Why don't gay footballers come out? go to a football match love..... end of.....
when is causes mental anguish or hurt of the person receiving the abuse. It's a very fine line really.
Now nobody would say calling someone honkey, black, Jew, chinky etc at a fame is allowed but gay etc is fine?
The difference is years of social out casting. Whilst its now ok to be black, white, Indian , Pakistani, Chinese etc many still look down on gays as a disease or "dirty".
Well that's my view anyway.
Going to a Spurs game? Why not try and meet up with a few of your fellow posters. http://www.tottenhamhotspurs.tv/forum/meets/
I wouldn't be surprised if there are a few players in the Premier League who are out to their teammates. The Rugby player Ian Roberts was out to his teammates quite some time before he went public about his sexuality.
What's the problem ?? Jesus in this day and age if anyone has a problem with someone being gay they need to crawl back into their cave.i think it all changed around the late 80s and 90s with the dance scene explosion and tbh everyone was so off their tits no one gave a fook what you were , and most of the top night clubs were the gay ones well in Dublin anyway.im sure we've all played football with gay people and didn't even know , yes they can football did you know that?? Some are even allowed drive lol.i have gay and lesbian friends and I think the only bad thing about them is the fooking lesbians won't let me film them lol, abd I call my gay mates bummers all the time, in fact that's where I first heard the term .I sure some gays are even spurs fans you only have to look on here with will, enfield , and nundy 3 out and out rampant homosexuals do you really want to hurt their feelings??lol.inhave a mate in the army who is gay and everyone knows it and noone has ever given him stick, although that might down to the fact he's 6 4 and built like a shitehouse and one of the grumpiest cnuts I've ever meet in my life, and would quite literally rip your head clean off your shoulders ha ha
Think about numbers. Named squad sizes are currently 27 and with 20 teams in th ePrem, that's 540 players. I'd be shocked if a few of them weren't gay. And with the size of squad in total being at least double that (ie I'm saying pro players on a teams books), be must be looking around 1,200 players in prem teams.
Not one of them 1,200 players gay? Yeah right!
I don't think it's so much "dirty" but more of people simply don't know how to feel. With the others that you name (black, white, Indian , Pakistani, Chinese), it's really easy to spot what they are. But you can't always spot someone who's gay.
People like to feel attractive, and for the straight ones we like to feel attractive to the opposite sex. But all of a sudden you find out someone of the same sex is gay and then people just don't know what to do, it's "argh, I'm attractive to them now?".
I do think that people just don't know how to deal with it. I've got a really close group of friends and a couple of years ago one of them came out (though we had suspected it for a while). Absolutely nothing changed for any of us, except one. And there's nothing wrong with the one that changed a bit, he's still a good bloke, we all know he has an odd way of dealing with it. None of us are bothered, or offended, of feel embarrassed for our gay mate (and his bf). We just occasionally put our heads in our hands and go "oh god be quiet" when the one who feels odd about it, says something cringeworthly wrong!
Of course you do get a handfull who are pure homophobes, but they are just w@nk£r$ who have jumped on a hatred bandwaggon!!!
Tough question. I had a mate when I lived in Sydney who would throw a right strop if anyone called him gay, he wanted to be called 'queer' - that used to be an insult didn't it? I used to call him Nancy which he thought was funny and he used to tell me it was lucky I was so ugly or he would 'convert' me. He actually went on the telly in Sydney saying that the Gay Pride march was not needed anymore as there were only a handful of bigots left and nobody really gave a fcuk what they thought, and why the fcuk did anyone have to advertise their sexuality in the 21st century?
I suppose it depends on the person that the banter is being aimed at. Some folks can deal with it, some can't. I've had mates who were so head-fcuked about being bald that they wore wigs, calling them a slaphead (which someone did to me the other day in a pub, oh how I laughed!) - would cause them real upset.
I really don't think any of us here are being homophobic when we call each other gay or bummer - it's just banter, but what if some folks ARE upset by it? We ain't going to find out because the sort of person that would find it offensive is probably not going to complain because they would open themselves up to exactly the kind of abuse they were complaining about.
So after all that waffle the answer to Unit's question is - fcuked if I know!
“Ordinary shops sell what look like black socks, but if you look closely, you'll see that they're very, very, very, very, very, very, very dark blue"

The thing is words are words. And like may words in the English language they can have more than one meaning or they can be very loosely related.
Gay can mean happy, it and be someone who fancies someone of the same sex, it can be someones name. You could have the sentence "Gay's a gay gay".
Then we have "tart". Now that's a word which is loosely based on a group of people. But how many of them would you hear talking up saying they are offended? Nah...lol.
It's just a bit of a put down. We all know it as a put down against the person it is directed to, not because of a collective the word can also represent if you choose to look at it that way thinking others may be offended too!
In the vast majority of times put down's a purely FUN. They are in a humorous way. Yet someone decides someone else might on the off chance be offended. Stupid.
Some folks may be upset, but as we need to understand as to why that may be, they also need to understand context!
