across the top of the page we have a few buttons, I always click on "new Posts" and have a read. What about if there was a button that said "wall" and you can see a list of "short rants/comments" left by others, or leave one yourself.
Just a thought.

This might be used/abused by people who want to vent on other members .
Not on in my view .
How about a members only 'Handbag Swinging' section for consenting members to have a barney in? If you accept an invitation for a bit of a virtual punch up, then it kicks off! - no rules, or maybe Fight Club style rules:

The second rule of Handbag Club is: you DO NOT talk about Handbag Club!
Third rule of Handbag Club: someone yells "stop!", goes limp, taps out, the fight is over.

Ive actually made something like that before, basically a twitter/facebook status update modification. Although it can be good it can also be a nightmare for the site. Its one of those catch 22 situations in certain areas.
Its really just a glorified shout box, One thing that maybe an option is to use your own profiles visitor messages for such a use , So renaming your "visitor message" to Wall and then having a global page to display everyones wall posts, might be worth looking at so ill take a look.
i like the idea of that mate!
in a way the site is set up for this type of interaction, as i can click on any users pic, and it sends me to their message board on their profile. it's similar to face b00k in the way it works. i.e. you write something, someone else writes something. someone replies to something.
i guess that is where the global part would be the challenge. merging all of those message boards on everyone's profile pages into 1 live feed somewhere on the site.

graphically speaking:
don't get me wrong, this isn't aboot the rights and wrongs of the image. it's from an aesthetic perspective.
dunno mate, if i zoom in the browser, which is a function i use on most sites, the text gets screwed up, the quotes are overlaid and any media in the post is covered by the image.
the above is kind of 'tabbed' down a couple of lines under the image, allowing them to span the whole page again, as opposed to having the width of the image as a blind spot in the firsts posts, and any possibility of the image disturbing the entry.
i guess that smaller monitors could be being effected by this too?

They have always been there boo, Guys im closing this thread now. Ive thought about what you have all said and improvements will be made in the next couple of days, I know two of the things that have been mentioned will be done and maybe something a bit different too if i can figure it out and afford it.
