In some way it would. Now it's all money and merchandise, a capitalist model. Foreign players everywhere, nationalitations to get more foreign players. And we have been proving for 113 years now that money doesn't purchase victories and titles. That with a finely structured infraestructure, a well-defined model, good work from the early years with young kids from 8 years old and implication from every member of the club, those things can come.

Sure now it's the most difficult period for that. And sadly I think it won't become better. We got the clasification for the Champions League in 1998, in our centenarian. And I remember the exact words of the narrator on TV: "Athletic in Bosman Law's time has clasificated for the Champions League. It has an incredible worth and it's the best for football". And it had more merit that nowadays because in 1998 only the 1st and 2nd of the spanish league could play the best club competition in the world. Barcelona won that league. But our happiness was unsurpassable. I won't forget that night easily, when I was 10 years old . Now I hope I can enjoy it again soon. Because when you're a little child you don't realize of what they have achieve, you don't watch all the matches. But I'm very optimistic and expectant for it .

bilbao is such a cool club. i like it a lot it is my favourite team of spain. also they have a cool kit

Last Thursday Athletic played its first official match of the season. The previous round of the Europe League against Trabzonspor from Turkey. Moments with 80% of ball possesion, 23 shots, 12 corners, playing against 10 since the 8th minute... and no goals. Really desperating and frustating match. Here you have a video with some of the best plays:

I'll keep telling you the history of the club when I have some free time for it. I didn't forget it .

Looks like it may well be Bilbao v Barca in the final of Copa del Rey. Ill be rooting for Bilbao
