I have a question though. They seem to think Messi is invincible or something when it comes to injuries. Who is their backup plan? Will they most likely drop Villa in the center and then Sanchez and Pedro on the wings?

People don't give Pedro enough credit imo.. for me, he is a top, top player, who obviously get's outshone by Messi and Villa.
I really don't believe this signing was too 'replace' Pedro.

Have to disagree, Pedro is a top class player but amongst those World Class players he just doesn't measure up. They signed Sanchez to be rotated yes but ideally they think he will replace Pedro. He plays the best in the hole or on the RW inverted, he can play on the left wing too. Barca don't play anything but the 4-3-3 so there's one place for him to play if starting and he's not going to push out Messi or Villa.
Players are often hyped but honestly Sanchez is deserving of the hype. Next to Messi he's one of the best players in tight spaces with the ball at his feet currently playing. He's a very special player.
Sure, Pedro's undoubtedly not as good as Messi, Villa, but for me he's certainly no 'weak link'.. far from it.
I do agree however, in that Sanchez will almost certainly be up their challenging Pedro for a starting place, that's a no brainer.. it would be interesting to see him on the RW or the hole, but with the players that currently fill those positions, like you say, it isn't going to be easy.. Still, with the somewhat 'smaller' games, they may use him in such areas, and if he performs as well as he can, I wouldn't be surprised to see him push Villa for a place either..

Great great signing for Barca. This guy is already world class (imo) and is only 22, his passing ability isnt barca standard imo but his dribbling, close control and pace is probably only bettered by Messi and C.Ronaldo.
There have been a few whispers about Afellay to spurs as well but only ITK talk on here and a few people on twitter saying we are actually preparing a bid, nothing concrete.
