what are your opinions on the signing of darren bent?
Was surprised at how good he's been for us ... like they say your loss - our gain. He had a great start to last season too if I remember right.

Brian clough summed up what chairmen knew about foot ball with his (in)famous blank page. Them days have gone thankfully, and we have a differnet breed to the likes of Hicks & Gillett at Liverpool. We have Niall Quinn - a chairman who is a legend in the game in his own right , backed by a money man in Texan Ellis Short with the club in his heart - How many clubs can say they have such a solid backing in the boardroom?

When he first signed I was a doubter - big style! However his dealings in the transfer market have been superb, he has lifted the club from indolence to a hungry leaner machine. Look at the difference in Andy Reid to see what I mean - not saying that was down to SB as much as his spat with Trappatoni.

Both top ten, I'll go for 8th and 9th with you just pipping us on goal difference.
what are ur opinions on harry redknapp and his management style?
As a motivator - he is second to none - but as has been said already - he is not liked in quite a few areas now - Portsmouth, Southamptpon, us ... I'm sure there are a few other places as well. However when it don't work it falls apart spectacularly, take the weekend just gone, Arsenal's second shouldn't have been seen on a park on a sunday afternoon, let alone in the premiership.
Interesting to see that Sports Interactive have put a prize of a private phone link to the man himselffor a Fottball Manager 2010 competition. The results of this could be interesting to say the least, when 'Redknapp is the Spawn of the devil,' the well known Pompey fan wins it.
Personally as a personality I think he is underhand and devious, however that is my opinion and no disrespect meant to Spurs or their fans, I just intensley dislike him s an individual.

He certainly is enigmatic ... half the time he seems as though he isn't even there, but then Bang! Quite often can show he runs midfield, but seems to be inconsistent in my eyes.
so in a word NO!
who says anything to anyone & believes his own myth. His disrespect for us & the games he tried playing over Kenwyne etc. have made him a hate figure up here. Mind you, he has turned you lot around (untill he goes back to pompey that is)
