I think you fail to understand, they are a lancashire club, not a manchester club.

      Salford is in Lancashire
      Salford is not in Manchester
Therefore Salford is a lancashire club, but not a manchester club.

I think you fail to understand, it is now all Greater Manchester, it's a silly argument to say that Man United are not a Manchester club, they're a Salford one.

had exact same argument with another person about Liverpool, apparently they're not in Lancashire anymore, they're in Merseyside.

At one time Manchester an Liverpool were both in Lancs.

      No problem mate.

During the 20th century the county became increasingly urbanised, particularly the southern part. To the existing county boroughs of Barrow-in-Furness, Blackburn, Bolton, Bootle, Burnley, Bury, Liverpool, Manchester, Oldham, Preston, Rochdale, Salford, St Helens and Wigan were added Blackpool (1904), Southport (1905), and Warrington (1900). The county boroughs also had many boundary extensions. The borders around the Manchester area were particularly complicated, with narrow protrusions of the administrative county between the county boroughs – Lees urban district formed a detached part of the administrative county, between Oldham county borough and the West Riding of Yorkshire.
By the census of 1971 the population of Lancashire (including all its associated county boroughs) had reached 5,129,416, making it then the most populous geographic county in the UK. The administrative county of Lancashire was also the most populous of its type outside of London, with a population of 2,280,359 in 1961. On 1 April 1974, under the Local Government Act 1972, the administrative county of Lancashire was abolished, as were the county boroughs. The urbanised southern part largely became part of two new metropolitan counties. The south-western part became part of Merseyside, the south-eastern part was incorporated into Greater Manchester The new county of Cumbria took the Furness exclave.
The boroughs of Liverpool, Knowsley, St Helens and Sefton were entirely from Lancashire. In Greater Manchester the successor boroughs were Bury, Bolton, Manchester, Oldham (part) Rochdale, Salford, Tameside (part), Trafford (part) and Wigan, Warrington and Widnes, south of the new Merseyside/Greater Manchester border, rather than become part of Greater Manchester or Merseyside were instead made part of the new non-metropolitan county of Cheshire.

      Cricket

Lancashire County Cricket Club has been one of the most successful county cricket teams, particularly in the one-day game. Due to changes in the county boundaries, the club's home ground, County Ground, Old Trafford, is now outside the county of Lancashire, being in the metropolitan borough of Trafford, Greater Manchester.

Here are the first set of answers. I'll post 3 sets right up until kick off. Enjoy!

      Nathan.
One day soon, Fergie is going to retire. Who do you think should be your next manager? Would you rather have a big European name or someone promoted from within?
      Jose Mourinho

Who would you identify as Manchester Uniteds most improved player this season?
      Nani

Which Spurs player would you most like to see at Old Trafford? Why?
      Modric, his creativity

How do you think you will line-up for the match?
      442

      VDS
      Neville Rio? Vidic Evra
      Valencia Fletcher Scholes Nani
      Rooney Berbatov

Who do you feel will end up as Premier League champions this year?Don't know can't call it, though my heart says United

When Berbatov was playing for us he was on great form, why do you think he has been less successful at Manchester United?
I haven't a clue. Possibly the way you play compared to us.

Which Spurs player do you consider to be the biggest threat?Modric/Defoe

Do you think the Green/Gold campaign will work and get the Glazers out of Manchester United Football Club?
      Hopefully

Who is your favourite Manchester United player? Who is your favourite Spurs player?
      Patrice Evra, Gareth Bale

Which side do you see finishing fourth?
      Spurs

Which side do you WANT to see finishing fourth?
      Spurs

What do you think of Harry Redknapp as a manger?
Good, especially in the transfer market.

What is your prediction for the game?

      2-0

      LJ Red.

One day soon, Fergie is going to retire. Who do you think should be your next manager? Would you rather have a big European name or someone promoted from within?

Mourinho, he's a champion, wherever he goes he wins, simple as.

Who would you identify as Manchester Uniteds most improved player this season?

Fletcher, he's finally came into his own and is a world class player, you may of expected me to say Rooney, but I think Rooney is just as good this year as the previous few, he's just playing more centrally.

Which Spurs player would you most like to see at Old Trafford? Why?

Modric, just a world class playmaker, great replacement for Scholes, possibly Bale also, but then again we already have Evra.

How do you think you will line-up for the match?

      --------Van der Sar-----------
      -Rafael--Vidic--Ferdinand--Evra
      -Valencia--Fletcher--Gibson--Nani
      ------Rooney----Berbatov

Who do you feel will end up as Premier League champions this year?
United, we're just the best aren't we? But also cause the Scouse bastards will beat Chelski to hand us the title, breaking their record.

When Berbatov was playing for us he was on great form, why do you think he has been less successful at Manchester United?

He hasn't hes still the same player, he just gets a hard time from some fans, but when you actually go to watch him unlike the majority of Berba haters, he is just pure world class to watch.

Which Spurs player do you consider to be the biggest threat?

Bale, top class footballer and I doubt Rafael/Neville will be a match for him.

Do you think the Green/Gold campaign will work and get the Glazers out of Manchester United Football Club?

Personally no, but then again it is being taken seriously in London, a consortium as well as a proper financial adviser are on the case so possibly, if everyone will give up their season ticket like I am then yes, but some Chinese people will take our places or some shit like that so it probably won't make a difference.

Who is your favourite Manchester United player? Who is your favourite Spurs player?

Rooney - He was even when we had Ronaldo for me.
Bale- He just seems to get in behind defenders and make a lot of great runs.

Which side do you see finishing fourth?

City, unfortunatly, they'll run rings around you at Eastlands.

Which side do you WANT to see finishing fourth?

I don't know, I don't like Shity, don't like Liverpool, Villa fans are twats, and I seriously dislike Harry Redknapp, but probably Spurs as hopefully we could get Milner off Villa then.

What do you think of Harry Redknapp as a manger?

Utter twat, I love to see his face when you lose, I just want to slap him in the face.
But as a manager, I don't know, I just hate how they have to be nice about him and Spurs because Jamie is sat in the studio, and they can't insult Frank Lampard the most overated footballer in the history of the story because their related.

What is your prediction for the game?

      4-0

      KingUtd.
One day soon, Fergie is going to retire. Who do you think should be your next manager? Would you rather have a big European name or someone promoted from within?
As much as I'd like to see someone from within, it would be interesting to see Mourinho at United.

Who would you identify as Manchester Uniteds most improved player this season?

Rooney. He took over and made himself the talisman, carrying the team by himself. And a special mention to Nani, who was close to leaving until he burst back
Which Spurs player would you most like to see at Old Trafford? Why?
Modrić, because a creative midfielder who can unlock defences is something we currently lack.

How do you think you will line-up for the match?
We will probably go 4-4-2, with Rooney and Berbatov up-top. Vidic at the back is rock solid and we shouldn't play too defensively because we MUST win.

Who do you feel will end up as Premier League champions this year?
Unfortunately, Chelsea. Liverpool will roll over, Stoke and Wigan are walk-overs.
And you must not rule out us losing points too.
When Berbatov was playing for us he was on great form, why do you think he has been less successful at Manchester United?
He probably collapsed under the pressure and his 30 mil. price tag.
He seems frustrated every game and wants to do his best, but just doesn't fit our system.

Which Spurs player do you consider to be the biggest threat?
Currently, Bale. He is a monster who raped Arsenal and Chelsea and he will be a big problem for either one of Rafael/Neville.
Do you think the Green/Gold campaign will work and get the Glazers out of Manchester United Football Club?
I doubt G&G on its own can get them out of the club, unfortunately. They are greedy and just want profit out of United, they don't care about the club.
Who is your favourite Manchester United player? Who is your favourite Spurs player?
      Well, currently Scholes
      Spurs favourite player...hm...Modrić?

Which side do you see finishing fourth?
I don't know. It's very tight and City vs Spurs will be decisive in the 4th place race.

Which side do you WANT to see finishing fourth?
      Spurs, ofcourse.

What do you think of Harry Redknapp as a manger?
He seems a good manager. Took you from relegation zone to top4 in 18 months.

What is your prediction for the game?
5-3. United comeback after being 3-0 down at HT

I hate manure, the arrogance. Almost every time we have played them at OT they have either Lucked it, Had some very dodgey decisions go their way or been the better team fractionally.

Although at WHL this season they were good in fairness. Best away performance at WHL i have seen in a while.
