I've said all season, sell Pav in Jan, and Gio can fill in his backup role.
I think it'll be hard to get him a start in the Prem, but I really want to see him get some game time off the bench one he's fully match fit.

i agree we should give him a chance he is a quality player and harry would be daft to let him go he will be a player for the future

mexspur reporting from mexico ive got to say that i was really dissapointed with gios injury he looked like playing in the PL anytime soon, not only because of the good games he had in the carling cup but mostly cause of how he was playing for mexico. this guy is really talented, mexico won the under 17 world cup in 2005 and a lot was thanks to him! mexico had never won a world cup before. and he got named player of the tournament in the CONCACAFS gold cup.
i hope harry is aware of the talent hes got and that he does not let him go. i dont miss any spurs match on weekends (even tho they are at 8.30 or 10 in the morning here!) and i am sure he can be a regular starter for the team soon if he keeps playing like he has lately.
not to mention he helped turn Mexico's qualification campaign around.
I see him as an impact sub player for a while anyway, and it won't be long before he'll press for a starting role given the chance. but I'm of the same opinion as a lot of you, he's class and we don't need to sell him.
Harry's said some nice things about him a while back regarding his attitude and maturing process, and I just get the feeling we'll start seeing him pop up from time to time in the lineup.
This is one guy I really hope gets his time with us, on his day he is a phenomenal player I'm sure Arry is well aware of what this lad can do but been somewhat hampered with injuries. The CC is the perfect place to reignite himself.

like everyone else he has to win his place and suit the tactics of the day, he's now up against Modder and Nikko....... good luck with that fella.
he is a good fella but, he's now got to dig in and wait for the timing. He's young and lets see how he goes., lets play him mid-week and get his legs ready.
Any word on him yet? It seems like forever since he was injured.

Yes looking good, Gio returned to full training last week and should at least make the squad for the CC game on Tuesday.

Hopefully he will do very well, I must say I have been impressed with his skill and goalscoring ability. He is the type of player we have come to love over the years, Spurs fans have always loved exciting players.

He is a very skilled player his type of football is a little bit of the extra spice the spurs need hopefully he will get his chance to play I say this as a Mexican national and as a spurs fan but don't get me wrong I have been a spurs fan WAY before Gio came along but it's exciting to see him on the team I follow by heart.

Modric and Krancjar are both out for the Man U game... The perfect time for him to step up!
Likewise and thanks Mexican players usually don't leave Mexico for Europe usually because the ones that do go rarely get playing time and their football really breaks down most of the time they do earn their spots but never get played, but also just like any country we have our crap players as well:P. Hopefully this new generation of ours will be able to develop and make it to the EPL and other Euro leagues more often in the years to come. Any national would be happy to see one of their own in their favorite team it's sad Carlos Vela went with Arsenal I almost cried.
