      10 - Spurs - 47 pts FIN 52 JOINT 7th

Going to be a very interesting and tight end to the season in the race for 7th.

Who do you think will finish in 7th?
Thats how I see it panning out (maybe a little optomistic on the Spurs front).

But from what I see it comes down to goal difference.

Meaning we need to outscore them over the next 4 games by 4 goals or we are out of a Euro place on GD.

Now I cant see that happening in the slightest as we have become some what of a bunch on one nill experts of late (not that its a bad thing).

I agree that we should make our signings in the summer and make a real concerted effort on the league giving our plethora of youth talent their big chance to prove themselves in the Domestic cups Especially the l.league cup.

I agree also that a season out of Europe may be a blessing in disguise but I can help but think it will hamper the clubs efforts at signing foreign talent to the club.

Again 2 months into the season if someone had offered me 4th bottom with a last minute goal off Keano's arse on the last day of the season I'd have snapped their arm off at the fookin shoulder.

If we can be the 12th man for the last 4 and we have a decent chance of an absolutely amaising escape from the Circus Masters regime and our disastrous start to the campaign.

      COYS!!!

Fulham have the easiest go out of all the teams in the race. it will prolly come down to the last game and Fulham for some reason always beat Everton at home.

i do think we will be ahead of West Ham which will make me plenty happy.

A win and two draws, or two wins and a loss could do it for us (provided one of those wins is the Man City game). So it's certainly possible. However, I agree with those who think that finishing 8th or so may be a blessing in disguise.

At the moment, our squad is not strong enough to play in both Europe and the EPL (and all the other competitions) at full strength, and that showed in the line-ups Harry fielded towards the end of the UEFA cup games. So, what's the point, really? I'd rather concentrate on building up confidence and respectability in the league. Okay -- maybe finishing 7th would add to confidence, but I think the main thing is that we actually created a fighting chance -- not whether we actually get it or not. We have some real potential for next season, and I think we should concentrate on the League, and maybe doing well in the domestic cups. Just my .02.

Slim's got a point....No one's going to beat a path to our door, just to play UEFA football. Better to concentrate on the Premiership and domestic cups.....Leave Euro glory to when we qualify for Champions League!

I am with Slim on this. The Europa League will make no difference to who we sign. Any self respecting player will see that Spurs are one of the best teams outside the top 4 places, they will come to Spurs because they want to push for the CL and earn it not just walk into it.

We need Europe. We so need Europe! Having those extra games is the only way Tottenham are going to be able to work out & build the best 11. I don't want to step into waters outside of the topic but players want to play football. Harry has a problem making substitutions as it is so players like Bale, Dawson, O'Hara are going to want to know they will be getting minutes somewhere. Europe would provide this. Spurs really need to forget about top 4 because a team of 11 with 1 sub brought on at 65mins won't even get through the group stage.

Carling cup and games against teams like Wolves and Birmingham next season. Harry will rotate the side with a degree of sensibility when it comes to keeping players happy.
Why would we also want to qualify for Europe then just use our reserves and back up players in it? The board and fans will be less than happy with that.

one goal at a time i think.

It's about time we got into the top 4...and an all out effort next season with JUST THAT ONE goal is what we need.
Playing on a Thursday --then only Friday to recover for a weekend match can have neagtive consequences..
At least CL matches are on Tueasday/Wed..which means a day extra of rest/preparation etc.

Besides...we will be in domestic cup competitions (Like carling cup etc) for Harry to see other players etc.

TOP 4 IS A MUST ..AND IS A REAL POSSIBILITY GUYS...it's about time.

      Bless

p.s..i don't buy into the fact that being in Europa is going to attract more players..we have enough decent players with only a few signings that are needed...

Hoever, I also understand that players do need to be attracted - but IMAGINE who we can attract if we did get top 4 next season?...now thats a thought
