A much needed win after last weeks 2nd half and should have been more.

Yet again we were robbed by an official when Defoe's goal was disallowed for a apparent offside which was very clearly on!

Have to agree about Keane, he has not been the player he was since his return but you always get 100% effort and chasing at all times with Keane. He will come good.

Loving your Avatar berby , there's a pic just like it in the spurs shop i was tempted to buy it today.

Defore looked sharp when he came on even though he's prob still not at best with the whole brother thing , Keane looked poor , ive seen a couple of peeps say that Pav was crap although i though keane was worse than him today from what i could see.

Lennon fast as ever down the flanks and corluka was making good runs forward.

Palaciuos was his normal controling midfield self and once again i slate a player and he scores.

at this rate if i keep slating Bent and jenus im gonna look like a right mug

Keane isn't the same player for us for the same reason Berbatoss isn't the same player now he's at Manure... Their half the player without each other. They just had that on pitch chemistry that you rarely find in a attacking duo.

Keane will be great again, just never how he was when the moody Bulgarian was here.

A win is a win is a win. 1 point out of Europe.

It was a rough game and we were fortunate to come away with the 3. Enough with this moderately disappointing performance from the striking corps. On to Everton!

      Lennon-excelent but perhaps to selfish
      Jenas-why does this guy play
Palacios-withouth a good CM he also is not good
Modric-motm. played well made our game
      Pavljuchenko-terible
      Keane-worked hard managed little
Defoe-needs to start games but i would try a pavljuchenko partnership with him ore bent because he and Keane doesn't work for me

A left wing and a leftback and we have ourself a team to chalenge the top 4. 5 place surley.
Agree with you on the whole. Gomes made some very important saves, including an absolutely brilliant save with his left hand when he was diving right. That one stunned me. I was sure it was going in.

I'd say Corluka looked really poor and out of sorts in the first half, like he didn't know what to do with the ball. No surprise Lennon snatched the ball away from him and made a play. Generally I rate him pretty highly, but he was a bit off today for some reason, it seemed.

Great stuff from Modric. He's really settling in well. Definitely MOTM.

I thought Jenas was more than decent. He and Lennon have looked much better players recently. I think the Jenas / Palacios pairing looks pretty fine to me.

Keane has lost any kind of sharpness and flair. I'm sure it will return in time, but he looks mediocre at the moment. If he gets his mojo back, it will be absolutely superb to have him, Modric and Lennon all linking up -- feeding whatever striker is up front (that's a bit of a question, though).

the whole keane debates quite interesting....
to me, he seems like a bloke who puts his heart and soul into things. so after coming back he had a quite a big job of getting some of the fans back on board.. and after you have a couple of ok/not great games.... you try even harder and the harder you try.... the longer it takes to come. if harry can get him to relax (and a little more confidence) our behind the striker type players (modric, keane and possibly lennon) would be outstanding....then all you need was someone who holds the ball up and tucks away chances....is that pav/defoe.....i dont know.

i also agree with the whole berba thing. those two just clicked. i hope that relationship comes again but its a very rare thing.

I think that part was up to Lennon. You dont espect Colruka to go 1 on 1 with the defneders when not moving. He lacks of aceleration but if Lennon starts sprinting he will some how give him a good ball and Lennon was standing behind him in that situatins so what could he do? That was a playing mistake by Lennon in those situations. He needs to get in front of him....
