I don't think the relay of information would be quick enough in a fast-paced game.
For me I think that we should have 5 extra refs in different areas of the ground, or watching monitors and each one gets a different camera angle. Each ref has a button and if 4 of the 5 extra refs presses their buttons within 1 second of each other a signal is given to the ref (the same as when the button is pressed on the linesman's flag). The ref will then know to stop play and will be able to use headset to communicate with the other refs.
This then results in an instant response for the ref, players and fans.

How complicated???
I see what ya sayin mate but why not just have one ref sitting in the refs changing room with 5 camers? 1 mans decision is then final.
What should happen is that the fans, actual ref and players get to see the exact replays the 4th or 5th official see so they can still have an opinion and be involved in the incident. It would make the stopage in play more bearable for the viewers and participants by being involved somewhat.
I love the way weve all decided to ignore the fact Palacios could and possibley should have been sent off for a two footed challenge on that arsehole Ronaldo while it was 0-0 may i add, WTF would the score have turned out to be then???
The ref chose to ignore that tackle and got the penatly very wrong so its a problem with the quality of Refereeing in the Prem simple as that!
I also agree that with lots of Spurs fans moaning about the penalty saying it changed everything does indeed make us seem effing small time, pack it in!
F*ck Stratford!!!!

No mate, I do not. I love that players spend many years for training, improving their skills and fight on the pitch out of their socks, but I won't accept the fact that refs can influence the game. 11 vs 11, nothing more. Bad mistakes cost too much. This is not just about pens decisions, players sometimes pay with their injuries for poor referring. If one man can't control a game, replace him with two men, machines, robots, whatever. This game is for players, not for refs mistakes.
I along with 5 seperate threads and a collective of around 200 posts in the space on 2 days would beg to differ my old fruit!!!
We will still be chatting about this come the end of the season. If we'd have held them to a 0-2 and saw the game out we would have forgotten about it by now!!!
I am trying to forget, seriously............................ I'd like to suggest everyone does the same.
