Even tho that goal wasn't given, it should still have sparked something in them but they just didn't do enough by any stretch of the imagination. It would still have been 2-1 & it would have given them reason to really push forward which would have left them even more open at the back. That would have meant that, altho they might have had a chance, imo it would be more likely that it would have actually been Chelsea who would score again if anyone.
Well done btw Yeovil in your 0-0 draw away from home today. Anither well-earned point & yet another clean sheet!

for the first time in my life i was glad to see the chavs win....im sick of the messiah bs that surrounds st james wen they get a new manager...so many of them thought they had automatically survived just by appointing shearer......maybe now they will see they have a real fight on there hands....only one position in bottom 3 left now with boro and west brom as good as down and i really hope its the geordies that fill that spot!
4th clean sheet in a row but you let in 9 goals I believe in the 2 games before that so it is an incredible turnaround. I know, as you say, its when the Spurs boys began to arrive but credit has to go to to Mr Weale for the clean sheets, as well as the whole back 4.
What's funny is that its coming down to a battle between the Geordies & the Mackems. Considering the amount of abuse that Sundreland fans have given Newcastle this season, it might turn around & bite them in the but. It'll be 1 of the 2 at this rate & I can't see either of them winning right now. Newcastle do have a bit more quality in their squad tho, its just whether Shearer can keep their heads up.
