Anyway DanSpurs, you say people will always buy beer & there will be no money problem with such sponsors but that is not true. The breweries, especially in this country, are in major financial difficulties. Loads are going bust & taking their pubs with them.[/quote]

I am doing my bit to float the recent economic crisis by supporting my local brewery and drinking as much as possible.

      I love you guuuys......hic

Mansion.com are quite serious it seems about pulling out of this deal as they have been hit badly by the recession. According to the news today & reports coming out of the Gibraltar based company, they have been in meetings with Spurs about terminating the contract, with one suggestion being a compensation fee of £2m.

I posted on here a few weeks ago that one of my spurs mates heard that Masion has big trouble and the likely hood was that we were going to have to play without a sponsor for the remainder of the season. Where i hadn't heard anything else i thought some kind of deal had been done.

The only good thing for me is not having to put up with the ghastly red on the shirt but it will be hard in the current climate to get a deal as good as we have with Manion.

I'd imagine any big deals that we would get would be on a short term basis. That might suit us anyway if we are intending to tie the naming rights of the new stadium with any shirt sponsorship.
