I haven't seen the game yet, as we're only seeing it tonight over here. I'm very pleased about the result and at least can watch the players individually, without fretting on the final result.

I shall watch with great interest.

Our goals had been coming al night, it was no surprise when we actually scored (more when we scored) & Burnley were very, very lucky to go in at full-time 3-0 up. They do say you make your own luck tho.

The amount of games that we've played well in, the better side even, only to lose it in the final seconds ourselves, you have to hand it to the boys for doing the same to Burnley last night.

Spurs have never made good favourites, we're an underdog team & I like it that way in a funny sense. It will be a completely different ball game in the final against Man U.

Bass, I like your comment about not being surprised when we scored, as you knew the score before hand and it was the 27th minute of extra time it weren't hard to work out lol. Have to agree with the Bentley comment, thought he actually did ok. Don't know if anyone saw in the gutter press yesterday Harry said that he had told Bentley exactly what he thought of his recent performances and to sort it out. I said on a different thread recently that he needed to be put on the bench and work hard to prove us wrong when he got the chance, it looks like that could be happening.

I only saw the burnley goals coming, and thats it... I then saw hours and hours of dodging all my mates until they had forgotten this.

Its true, I did have a head's up! However, we did have all the really decent chances that we actually constructed from good, open play, we just completely fluffed the finish (not what I expect from a Prem side i must add). Burnley took ALL their chances, 2 of which we provided for them! I was surprised by how often we breached their defence. From all the comments (here & elsewhere) it sounded like we'd not even troubled them but Burnley were darn lucky on several occasions & it was only a matter of time before either Pav or Defoe would get 1 right. As it happened, they both did.

However, I have to say that in no way am I saying that I was satisfied with last night's performance, not by a long shot. There were 1 or 2 decent shifts put in by Bentley & Zokora, Dawson & Woody, a few that blew hot & cold like Pav, Bale, Modric & Defoe & the rest were poor, very poor. However, the team performance was dire. There were flashes of brilliance which showed what wonderful football we can play when we put our minds to it but there was no sense of being in it together, 1 for all & all for 1 type thing, & that's distressing.

That's only because you were fearing the worst, as we all were. They had a completely unacceptable proportion of the possession but then they were the home side. For all their time on the ball they threatened our goal very rarely over the 90. It as only after the second had gone in that they really looked like they'd get their 3rd. After that, with the impetus now switched to Spurs, we looked like the only ones likely to score & even David Platt said the same in the commentary, and what he says is gospel you know.

i think we were damn lucky they ran out of steam because they put so much effort in for 90 mins and i was relived to get to extra time if im honest but they were outonn their feet in extra time and we dominated but with a few mins left i honstily thought we were never going to score even though we were all over them coys

I agree Bentley did play pretty well yesterday. What i cant fault about him (others may disagree) is that he always seems to get involved in a football match whether playing well or playing sh!t. He seemed to be the only player constantly looking for the ball and this is shown by the amount of free kicks he got for us.

Unfortunately, all the rest of the Spurs players played Sh!t and the result meant his performance was somewhat forgotten.

He does my nut in so much. He is such a good footballer in the sense of the word. His pass that put Bale through was exquisite, absolutely inch perfect. But apart from that and the attempt on goal in extra time he let the game completely pass him by. He does this all the time and just goes missing. And towards the end his fitness told. He was absolutely shot to pieces. I think he is a genious but thats not enough. Hopefully the passion, fight and energy we are hoping to see from Palacios will change things.
