This was inevitable in my opinion as Arry after the Pompey game commented that he had to play Gomes as he had no confidence in the number 2 keeper.
Again in my opinion this was a little insensitive of Arry and probably not the best way to tell the lad that he is no longer required. But in the bigger scheme of things I couldn't relay give a toss as it needed saying. If it took that to make another club stick in an offer for him then happy days.
Would this make Caesar the only player to sign for us and leave without ever starting a game? (Apart from kids that is)
Don't get me wrong, I'm glad to see him go.
If you can keep your head when all around you are losing theirs and blaming it on you ... you probably haven't a clue what's going on!
I really don't understand why we ever signed Caesar to start with. I'm glad to see Ben get his chance and enable Gomes to get fit again.
Gomes has been a revelation considering his catastrophic start..................let's get him fit and back where he deserves to be............ Spurs No. 1
Gomes, above all, is a quality bloke. Always see him doing his bit for local community centres etc, he never tried to duck out during his nightmare start, never hid behind any injuries hes had either, and everybody is starting to see why he was so loved at PSV. I think he would have really appreciated the way the fans started getting behind him just before he turned it round, you can see how much he plays for the fans and for their affections, and ive gotta say its worked. I've got nothing but good things to say about him
love you harry
Signin Cesar was a joke, he was a decent keeper in Spain but he would never cope in England because of all the high balls being thrown into the box. Good luck to him, it wasn't his fault it couldn't work out at spurs.
